In Volume 2 1 Magic, Yuan Shangbao's physiognomy changed the name of Zheng Qing Scheeren to Spyker, and he talked about a physiognomist named Yuan Liu Zhuang in the early Ming Dynasty. When he became Judy's ancestor, he found himself the only thrill. Later, the Prince of Yan rose up against his nephew Wen Jian and won the throne, rewarding him with three Beijing posts. So many people know the God of Liu Zhuang.

According to Huang Yu's Notes on Shuanghuai Chronicle, Yuan Liu Zhuang was born in Nanchang, Jiangxi. He was accused and escorted to the capital. The emperor specially pardoned him, but ordered him to hand over all his photo albums. It can be seen that Liu Zhuang is the author of a photo album, and he has a lot of research on photo surgery. Liu Zhuang Xiangfa, handed down by later generations, was fabricated by ordinary people and became a tool for warlocks to cheat on food and drink.
Liu Zhuang's son Yuan Zhongche (that is, Yuan Shangbao) is also a famous warlock. The Biography of Ji Fang in the Ming Dynasty described him as "not as insidious as his father". There is a gap with ministers, that is, thinking forward? T wisdom. "He was instructed by Emperor Xuanzong of Ming Dynasty to compile a book" Lessons from Ancient and Modern Times "by people who have experienced ancient and modern times, which is rough and absurd. He even quoted myths and legends such as Fu's snakehead and Shennong's head as credit history. In addition, it is almost a joke to say that Zhuo Wenjun has a lotus face and a distant eyebrow.
Physiognomy is a magical method to predict people's fate by observing their appearance. There is a record of physiognomy in Zuo Zhuan. Uncle Naishi is good at physiognomy, and Gong Sun 'ao specially invited him to meet his two sons.
According to Records of Historical Records, Lv Gong took a fancy to the prodigal Liu Bang, thinking that his "appearance" was excellent, and he was bound to be rich in the future, so he did not hesitate to marry his beloved daughter to him who was doing nothing.

A physiognomist in the Book of the Later Han Dynasty told Ban Chao that you look mighty. "Swallowing Bahu's neck and flying to eat meat" is the physiognomy of sealing Hou in Wanli. Hearing this, Ban Chao joined the army. Later, as expected, he was far away from the western regions and was named Dingyuan Hou.
There is also a female physiognomist Xu Fu in Hanshu. She once said to Zhou Yafu, "Jun is three years old and will be eight. As a leader, he holds the country firmly and is precious, so he is no different from other officials. Then he was nine years old and Jun starved to death. She was bold enough to predict that a general would starve to death. But then, as she said, the great Zhou Yafu really starved to death in prison.
Does a person's face determine his whole fate? Not exactly. The ancient Confucian spirit said that "man can conquer nature". There is such a story in the ninth volume of Yu Shiming's ci, and Pei Jinyi returned to the original match. During the Tang Dynasty, Pei Du was a poor teenager. Some people thought that he was "managing the population" and starved to death like Zhou Yafu. Later, when he visited Xiangshan Temple, he found three treasure belts on the railing of Jingting. Pei Du thought, "Should I harm others and benefit myself?" So he sat and waited until the owner appeared and returned the jade belt to him. Another day, he met the fortune teller again. The fortuneteller was surprised and said, "The bone method in the first step has been completely changed. Do you have to be virtuous if you are not hungry? " "PeiDu then told him what he had brought. The fortune teller said, "This is a great feat of Yin. If he is rich and healthy tomorrow, you can congratulate him in advance." Later, Pei Du really entered the body and became the prime minister. From this story, it can be said that doing good deeds at ordinary times can change the fate you will inevitably experience.
There are countless stories about physiognomy in ancient books, some of which are even absurd, which shows people's concern about predicting fate. However, many people in ancient times did not believe in physiognomy. In Xunzi, there is a book called ChristianRandPhillips, which specifically refutes the fallacy of physiognomy, saying that "the appearance of a physiognomy person is known by good or bad luck and is called by the secular; The ancients had nothing, and scholars had no way. And many examples are given to illustrate that some people are "good in appearance but good in heart" and some people are "good in appearance but bad in heart".
Song Taizong Zhao Guangyi left the mystery of "the sound of candles and axes" in history. Of course, he didn't believe in evil spirits because he had the courage to murder his brother. He once wrote a letter saying that fortune tellers "spoke ill of fortune tellers and dazzled the public" and ordered local authorities to arrest all these fortune tellers and exile them to the island.
Everyone has their own "phase". As for whether he can judge his own destiny by this, the author has neither vision nor "special function", so I'm afraid I won't say it here. However, judging from people's appearance, "clear turbidity", "wisdom and stupidity", "longevity and death" and "good and evil" are probably not all right. Mencius said, "If you stand upright in your chest, you will see clearly; If the chest is not straight, what about the eyes? However. In other words, the eyes are the windows of the soul, from which we can get a glimpse of people's mental outlook. Detectives, doctors, teachers, etc. There is a professional sensitivity to the people they come into contact with, and their intuition is often accurate. This is actually a kind of "physiognomy". "People's appearance and modality bring some information about their inner world, and physiognomy may be a way for us to understand this information. Palmprint is an important branch of physiognomy, which has long been respected by medical scientists. Observing people's palmprint has become an important method to identify intelligence and diagnose diseases. It is said that Yuan Zhongche wrote the famous book "The Biography of God", and there is a chapter devoted to palm reading, which can be regarded as the earliest palm reading document in China.

In ancient times, there were many books about physiognomy. In addition to Yuan Zhongche's Insights into Ancient and Modern Times, the most famous authors are Yue Dong Jing, Yu Guan Wang Shen Ju, Tai Qing Shen Jian, Ren Lun Da Tong Fu and so on. These are all required reading for physiognomists, but Ma Yixiang's method and Liu Kuangxiang's method are familiar. Most of these photo albums are mainly about predicting fate, and they have not got rid of Jianghu habits, so they are of little value. There are only seven photo albums of literati in the Qing Dynasty, Bing Jian, which are based on people's spirit, rigidity, appearance, posture, eyebrow, voice and complexion, and can partially get rid of stereotypes, especially in discussing "and? It is said that Zeng Guofan spoke highly of this book, calling it "the book of physiognomy" and taking it as the basis for enrollment. Today, if we can strip off its superstitious color and study it from sociology, psychology, medicine and other aspects, it may be of some significance.
Bing Jian was highly praised by Zeng Guofan.
There is no doubt that people's appearance and modality often carry some information about their inner world, and "physiognomy" may be a way for us to understand this information. But Confucius has long pointed out that "to? Take people and lose their feathers. People live in a complex and changeable society, and there are many factors that form people's personality, temperament and so on, and people's thoughts are even less likely to be reflected in their appearance and modality. Therefore, physiognomy is not a science, and it is not enough to try to predict people's fate through physiognomy.
