Old Testament legal documents
Who is the author of the Bible? This Bible consists of thirty-nine old testament volumes and twenty-seven new testament volumes. It was written by more than 40 authors after 1600 years. The authors include King David, statesman Daniel, priest Ezra, philosopher Moses, lawyer Paul, shepherd Amos, tax historian Matthew, fishermen Peter and John, doctor Luke, prophets Isaiah and Jeremiah. As far as the author's position, knowledge, temperament and customs are concerned, it is completely different. They write the Bible in one place, some in the desert of Sinai, some in the mountains of Arabia, some in the mountains of Palestine, some in the temple of Jerusalem, some in the school of prophets in Bethel, some in the palace of Persia and the riverside of Babylon, and some in the prison of Roba and Patmos Island. More than forty different figures, from kings and philosophers with high status to shepherds and fishermen with low status, have been combined into a book and become as valuable as the Bible after 1600 years of changes in various countries and environments. Is there a second book in the world that took 1600 years to write? The longest book written in the world is Webster's dictionary, but it took only 36 years to complete; The Roman history of the world's most famous gibbon took only twenty years to write. If the Bible is not guided by the Holy Spirit of God, it is written. Then there is no other explanation. If there is a medical book, 66 volumes of it are also written by doctors who graduated from more than 40 junior colleges over the past 600 years, including various medical methods, including homeopathy, acupuncture, physiotherapy, herbal therapy and so on. Is it medically reasonable to bind these books into a large volume and then treat patients as written in the book? Can it have any effect? Will anyone adopt? Don't say that people with different skills can't write a book together at different times, that is, you write a letter alone. If you don't finish it today, it will be inconsistent if you write it tomorrow. Or another person goes on to write, but also can see obvious differences and incoherence, not to mention a Bible that has been handed down from ancient times to modern times. It's like I want to make a table without carpenters, but I want many carpenters to be a part of it. Four people each made a foot, and the other only made a desktop, but he didn't give them drawings or let them discuss with each other. It's entirely up to them, and everyone will do it in different places. Do you think all the parts can match? Can it be a shared table? They must be different in size, shape, tenon, height and wood, so you can't make them into tables. If I give each carpenter a design in advance and personally guide them how to do it, when they are finished, all the parts will definitely cooperate with each other and become a beautiful table. So is the composition of the Bible. The Bible was written by a true God, who inspired everyone. The Bible was not compiled by people according to their own wishes, but was written by a group of devout people who were revered by God. David, Moses, Paul and others are just people who write the Bible on behalf of God. What they wrote was based on God's instructions. For example, Isaiah himself admitted, "The spirit of the Lord GOD is on me ... to deliver good news." 2 Peter also said, "Prophecy never comes from man's will, but man is moved by the Holy Spirit and speaks God's words." Some prophets don't even understand what they are writing, because most of them are writing about the future, and these things will come true many years later. From this point, it can be proved that they are just tools in God's hands and used by God to write the Bible. Because they are godly and faithful, God is willing to use them to write his own meaning. From the fact that the Bible was written, it can also be proved that the Bible was written under the guidance of the Spirit of God. Because the Bible records many shameful and despicable sins of Jews, such as mentioning that their ancestors lied, cheated, committed adultery and even worshipped idols. If the true God did not guide the Jews to write them truthfully one by one, they would certainly refuse to record these scandals in their history, just as we do not want to write the scandals in our own family in our genealogy. As far as the beauty and completeness of law are concerned, it can be said that the laws of all countries, ancient and modern, Chinese and foreign, are not more complete and beautiful than the laws of the Bible. You see how simple, meticulous, subtle and extensive the Ten Commandments are! Which country's laws will criminalize hatred and greed? The constitution of the United States was completed after ten years, many experts and many meetings; It can be regarded as the most perfect law of today's generation. But compared with the Bible, it is far from it, because they are still revising the Constitution frequently. Now I'll show you some biblical laws: "Don't hate your brother in your heart … lest you take the blame for him." "If you lend him money, don't ask him for interest." "When harvesting crops, don't cut all the corners of the fields, don't pick up the lost ones, don't pick all the fruits of the vineyards ... leave them to the poor and aliens." "When a person takes out his mortgage, ... don't leave his pledge for the night, always return it to him at sunset." "Every year at the end of seven years, you must give an exemption ... If the debtor gives an exemption to his neighbor ..., you must always loosen your hand from him and lend him what he lacks. ..... Be careful not to have evil thoughts in your hearts, saying that the seventh year of exemption is coming, so you will not be kind to your poor brother and give him nothing, lest he call on the Lord for your sake and the sin will be on you. " "Poor employee ... don't bully him. Pay him on the same day and not until sunset, because he is poor and his salary is the most important thing. " "A man was sold to you and served you for six years. In the second year, don't let him go out freely ... don't let him go home empty-handed. Give him plenty from your flock, threshing floor and wine cellar. As the LORD your God has blessed you, you must do to him. "The fiftieth year ... is a sacred year, announcing freedom to all residents in the country ... Everyone will return to his property ... In the jubilee, the property will be sold to the buyer, and he will return to his property ... In the jubilee ... he will take his children out and return to his home." "If you meet a bird's nest on the road ... there are chickens or eggs in it, and the mother bird lies on it ... Don't take her mother with the chicken, just take the chicken ... you will enjoy a long life." "Work for six days, rest on the seventh day, let the cows and donkeys rest." You see, my friend, apart from the State of Israel, no other country cares about the poor like this, including benevolent laws and animals. How on earth did God move people to write the Bible? It was not written under the influence of spells or in ecstasy, but God touched them through the Holy Spirit, guided their hearts by God, and then wrote it like a student writing a book silently. They are like people who take notes to God, so as not to miss or misunderstand the author's original intention.
