The school adheres to the motto of "study hard, behave well, persevere and innovate", actively promotes the reform of education and teaching, and improves the teaching quality guarantee system. Since the upgrade, the school has undertaken 20 provincial and ministerial education reform projects, won the provincial teaching achievement award 18, and established 27 national and provincial vocational skill appraisal platforms. In recent three years, there have been 63 national and provincial college students' innovation and entrepreneurship training programs/kloc-0.
Students won 200 national prizes and 399 provincial and ministerial prizes in mathematical modeling, challenge cup and other professional competitions, innovative skills competitions and cultural and sports competitions; Students published 82 papers, 78 books and 2 patents. College students' social practice and voluntary service activities have won many national and provincial awards.
School enrollment comes from 22 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions. In the past three years, the employment rate of undergraduates has remained above 90%. It was rated as an advanced collective for graduate employment and an employment and entrepreneurship guidance service institution for graduates of demonstration colleges and universities in Shaanxi Province by the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education.
