Discussion content of China Ethnology Society
A total of 52 papers were received in the seminar, which was divided into two forms: speech at the conference and group discussion. From the discussion content, the conference papers can be divided into three categories: first, the protection, development and utilization of national culture; Second, the review of ethnology research and discipline construction; Third, study national society, religion and culture.

Protection, development and utilization of national culture

The protection, development and utilization of minority cultures is one of the most important issues discussed in this seminar. Some scholars believe that the development of national culture is an integral part of the development of the whole nation, which has the function of enhancing national cohesion and unity, and it has a special role in improving the quality of ethnic minorities and the spiritual realm of the people. Minority village rules and regulations are of great significance for maintaining national unity and social stability and harmony.

The development of the western region and the protection of national cultural resources and cultural ecology are issues of concern to many scholars. Some scholars believe that the protection, development and utilization of ethnic cultural resources should be paid attention to in the western development. The protection of national culture is a very complicated issue. We should handle these relationships well: first, the relationship between protection and utilization; second, the relationship between protection and development; third, the relationship between * * * and characteristics; and fourth, the relationship between economic development and cultural ecological environment. Protecting national cultural resources is not to protect backwardness, to maintain backwardness, or to exclude foreign culture and modern civilization. Protecting national culture should include protecting tangible culture and intangible culture (or material culture and intangible culture). The means of protection should be combined with modern science and technology, and protection should be carried out in various ways, such as utilization protection, development protection, legislative protection and key protection. The rational development and utilization of cultural resources can directly bring economic benefits, develop cultural industries, establish characteristic economy and develop tourism, which is an important way for economic development in western ethnic areas. Some scholars have particularly emphasized the legislative issues in the development of the western region, and stressed that the western region should be developed according to law to prevent the harm caused by the development of other countries in history. Some scholars also stressed that the development of the western region must be closely related to the situation after China's accession to the WTO, adapt to WTO rules and not conflict with them. It is necessary to upgrade the excellent traditions in national culture and make them become modern civilization.

Other scholars believe that all ethnic groups have a set of traditional knowledge of protecting the environment and rationally utilizing resources, and national culture itself has the function of protecting the ecology and adapting to the natural and social environment. Some concepts and taboos in religious beliefs also have the function of protecting ecology. Making full use of and developing the national culture with ecological protection function is an important issue in the western development and an important subject in ethnology research.

A Review of Ethnological Research and Discipline Construction

The review of ethnology research and discipline construction are also the main topics of this meeting, and many scholars have discussed these issues from different angles. Different from previous ethnology seminars, most of the retrospective articles in this conference are not a summary of ethnology research, but a summary of research aimed at a specific nation, a specific region or a specific discipline. Some scholars have reviewed in detail the history and contents of Zhuang studies at home and abroad in the 20th century. Some scholars have commented on the general situation of Guizhou ethnology since the founding of New China. Some scholars have analyzed several stages of Tujia studies in recent 50 years and the changes of their research objects and contents. Some scholars have commented on Hui studies, while others have introduced the general situation of visual anthropology studies in China.

The discipline construction of ethnology has been discussed a lot in recent ten years, and this meeting is no exception. Some scholars believe that ethnological research plays an important role in the social and cultural development of ethnic areas, especially in the western development. Ethnic colleges and universities play an irreplaceable role in cultivating talents in ethnic areas and are of great significance in safeguarding national unity and national unity. Ethnic scholars should dare to tell the truth, tell the truth, and really seek benefits for ethnic minorities. Some scholars also emphasized the significance of ethnology research in China, emphasized that ethnology research in China should have its own characteristics, and emphasized that ethnology in China in the 2nd/kloc-0th century should not only study ethnic minorities, but also study the Han nationality. 2 1 century, ethnology in China will be further improved and developed, forming a discipline system with its own characteristics.

Ethnic Social, Religious and Cultural Studies

Among the 52 papers submitted to the Congress, most of them are about ethnic society, religion and culture, and most of them are about 15 papers about Tujia and Enshi. Some discuss the evolution of Tujia society and ancient education from a historical perspective, some analyze Tujia folk beliefs and folk customs from a religious perspective, some discuss the changes of Tujia language functions from an archaeological perspective, some analyze archaeological discoveries and cultural relics from an archaeological perspective, and some discuss the development of Enshi human resources. According to the survey data, some scholars have analyzed the social organizations and villagers' autonomy in rural areas in ethnic minority areas, and believe that the current rural social power structure is basically a state-led structure dominated by township governments, but the influence of family and clan consciousness on grassroots elections is increasingly prominent, and the influence of folk elites is also increasing. Some scholars have analyzed the origin of China's multi-ethnic culture from the perspective of myth, indicating that the openness and self-improvement of national culture are the conditions for the survival and development of all ethnic groups, and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation also depends on the remolding of cultural openness and autonomy. During the meeting, the Council held a general election according to the articles of association. Recommended by the relevant units of provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, the sixth Council was formed. The first meeting of the sixth Council elected the president, vice president, executive director and secretary-general of the Council and hired consultants.
