Former South Korean President Lee Myung-bak recently claimed that the Moon Jae in administration's "settlement of accumulated abuses" was "political revenge". In this regard, Cheongwadae made no other statement, but refuted it by introducing Moon Jae in's past speech.

According to ROK 12, Cheongwadae's spokesman Park Soo-hyun told the press group through written news that President Moon Jae in's purpose in solving the accumulated abuses was not to punish individuals, but to change the unjust privilege structure itself.

At the invitation meeting of the leaders of the four major opposition parties held in Cheongwadae on September 27th, Moon Jae in expressed his firm opposition to political retaliation. The accumulated disadvantages of liquidation are not punishment or accountability for individuals, but changing past unfairness.

Lee Myung-bak publicly expressed his dissatisfaction at the airport before going abroad that afternoon: "I began to wonder whether this is reform, venting emotions or political revenge?"
