How to mark citation symbols in Word documents and papers
1, open the word document first.

2. Find the words you need to annotate or quote, and select them.

3. Then find the reference option in the upper left corner and click.

4. After clicking on the references, you will find an option to insert endnotes.

After clicking, you will find that you have appeared at the end of the document, this place is for reference.

6. Write down the source of the words you quoted, or the words you need to explain.

7. When you are finished, go back to the sentence you quoted, and you will find a Roman numeral symbol at the end. If you move the mouse over it, the comments of the sentences you quoted will appear.
