Matters needing attention in the defense of undergraduate thesis of law (focus on the third point, please read it carefully! )

First, the basic requirements of graduation thesis defense

1. Undergraduate students majoring in law must take part in graduation thesis defense.

2. Thesis materials that must be submitted before the student's thesis defense requires students to submit the following papers before the student's defense and before the specified time, and the thesis defense Committee will review them: (1) The official manuscript bound as required (in quintuplicate). (2) Thesis outline, first draft and revised draft. (3) Electronic manuscript (floppy disk): word document of outline, first draft, revised draft and first draft. (4) the outline, the first draft, the revised draft and the finalized teacher guidance form.

3. There are several defense groups for thesis defense. There are three people in the defense group, 1 defense moderator. The members of the defense team shall not be lower than the instructors. When the students I instruct defend, the instructor shall not be a member of the defense team.

4. The respondent presides over the graduation thesis defense. On the basis of fully listening to the opinions of other members of the defense team, the defense host determines the defense score and is responsible for signing the defense score of the paper. The moderator of the defense must have the title of deputy high school (inclusive) or above, or a full-time law teacher with the title of lecturer, and hold the qualification certificate of the moderator of the defense issued by the Central Radio and Television University.

5. Each defense team is equipped with 1 recorder, who is responsible for recording the defense situation of students. The recorder must not be a law teacher.

6. In the process of thesis defense and grading, it is found that plagiarized articles or articles written by others have been rewritten. If it is still copied or written on behalf of others after rewriting, the qualification for writing papers will be cancelled; In the process of defense, it is found that students are not clear about the relevant basic concepts and questions, unable to answer or unfamiliar with the content of the paper, and the defense fails. If the defense fails, it is allowed to make up one time and postpone it until the next defense.

7. After the defense, the defense moderator should fill in the defense opinions as soon as possible and give the defense scores and comprehensive scores, and report them to the Law Teaching and Research Section of the Ministry of Education and Research, which will inform the relevant prefecture-level TV universities of the results, and then the relevant prefecture-level TV universities will inform the students themselves.

8. In view of the fact that there are too few teachers with the qualification of moderator, in order to facilitate the arrangement of the defense time of the undergraduate thesis of law in the municipal TV University, please inform the law teaching and research section of the Power Saving University 20 days in advance, and the law teaching and research section of the Power Saving University will finally determine the defense time according to the defense situation of the undergraduate thesis of law in the whole province.

Second, the defense procedure

The procedure of students' defense is as follows:

1. Introduce my thesis, including: the motivation of topic selection, the materials collected around topic selection, and the main contents of the thesis. The introduction time should not be less than 10 minutes, and preferably not more than 15 minutes.

2. After the students introduce their papers, the respondent will ask two questions according to the legal fields involved in the students' papers (these two questions can be prepared in advance by the respondent and members of the respondent group, but it is forbidden to inform the students in advance), so as to give the students a certain preparation time.

3. After the students have answered the two questions raised by the above-mentioned defense moderator, the defense team will ask at least two or more questions impromptu, and the students must answer immediately, and no other preparations are allowed.

Third, the problems that students should pay attention to when defending.

1, students should be fully prepared before replying: be familiar with the main content, basic framework, main viewpoints and innovations of their articles, and understand and master the relevant concepts and theoretical knowledge involved in the articles.

2. Students who take part in the defense must bring their ID cards for inspection.

3. When introducing the paper, students must take off the manuscript, do not bring any materials, do not introduce the paper off the manuscript, and the defense fails.

4. Students can bring necessary materials and supplies, including papers, main reference materials and other books, and are allowed to read.

Students should be confident and calm when introducing literary theory and answering questions.

6. Students should answer questions concisely, enunciate clearly and have a moderate voice.

7. On the basis of not violating the four cardinal principles, encourage students to put forward their own opinions boldly, but give reasonable and appropriate explanations.

8. In the whole process of defense, the respondent should respect the respondent teacher and behave politely, especially when the questions raised by the respondent teacher are difficult to answer or the respondent teacher's views are different from his own. After the defense is over, leave calmly and politely, regardless of the defense situation.
