Maxim was the most famous crossover pianist in 2003! Maxim was born in 1975 West Benic, a small town on the Croatian Adriatic coast. He began to learn piano at the age of nine, and immediately showed his extraordinary piano playing talent. Maxim won the piano competition prize in the Zagreb Music Competition in 1993. In the next five years, he studied piano performance at Zagreb Conservatory of Music, and then went to Liszt Conservatory of Music in Budapest for further study. At this time (1999), Maxim won the first prize of Rubinstein Piano Competition. Maxim settled in Paris in 2000 and studied under Igor Lasko. 200 1 won the first prize in the Puntos Piano Competition.
