This paper focuses on the fundamental differences between Chinese and foreign temple buildings in terms of artistic style. Taking the Temple of Prayer for the Year in China and the Patron Temple in ancient Greece as examples, both buildings are ancient places of worship, but there are great differences in architectural styles, ideas and causes, which highlights China's Confucianism as the mainstream and focuses on the architectural style of the Temple of Prayer for the Year in Beijing. In foreign countries, religious belief is the thought, so I choose the ancient Greek Parthenon for comparison, analyze the reasons from their respective architectural artistic styles, and compare the differences between Chinese and foreign temple buildings.
