Shihezi University, located in Shihezi City, Xinjiang, is a national "double-class" construction university, which is jointly established by the Ministry of Education and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps. The national "2 1 1 project" focuses on the construction of universities, "the comprehensive strength improvement project of central and western universities" and "the basic capacity construction project of central and western universities".
By April 2022, Shihezi University had 23 teaching institutions, with a campus area of 1.802 million square meters and a school building area of1.21.400 square meters. With economics, law, education, literature, history, science, engineering, agriculture, medicine, management, art and other disciplines11; 97 undergraduate majors, 9 first-level discipline doctoral degree authorization points, 1 professional degree doctoral degree authorization points, 30 first-level discipline master degree authorization points, 30 professional degree master degree authorization points, and 4 post-doctoral research mobile stations.

As of September, 20021year, the library of Shihezi University has an annual collection of 3 million Chinese and foreign books, 4 million electronic books, more than 2,500 Chinese and foreign periodicals and nearly 100 newspapers, and subscribed to 93 Chinese and foreign databases such as HowNet, Wanfang, VIP, SD, SCI and SSCI. Xinjiang Cotton Plant Protection Database and Shihezi University Dissertation Database were built by ourselves, with 60,000 books attached, and established information exchange relations with more than 0/000 units in China.
There are many precious documents in the museum, such as Sikuquanshu, Handed down Books, China Ancient Books and other special documents of the Corps. From May 65438 to May 0979, the museum was designated as the collection point of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Xinjiang, the service station of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps of National Science and Technology Library (NSTL), and the intellectual property information center of Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
