Zhejiang Wanli University is a provincial undergraduate college with a history of 69 years. 1999, approved by the Ministry of Education, has become a new type of university with "new management mode and operation mechanism of public universities" and has been praised by educational experts as "a model practice of modern university system with China characteristics".

The school has 75 provincial platforms, including provincial key disciplines, first-class disciplines, key research bases of philosophy and social sciences, academician expert workstations, experimental teaching demonstration centers and key laboratories. Ying Min, president of Zhejiang Wanli University, introduced that the college has made the mechanism of credit accumulation and conversion between suspension from school and innovation and entrepreneurship take root, set up innovation and entrepreneurship scholarships, approved 15 students to apply for suspension from school and start their own businesses, and formulated personalized talent training programs for students in "3+ 1" entrepreneurial characteristic classes, "2+2" entrepreneurial experimental classes and educational innovation classes.
