Phenomenon 1: the fuel consumption is high, but the exhaust smoke is normal and the power is not reduced. ?
Cause: This situation is generally caused by oil leakage. ?
Treatment:?
(1) First, check whether the external oil pipes of the engine lubrication system (including the oil inlet pipe and oil return pipe of the supercharger) leak oil; ?
(2) Check whether there is engine oil at the supercharger exhaust port. If there is engine oil, it can be judged that the sealing ring at one end of the turbine is damaged, and this sealing ring should be replaced. ?
Phenomenon 2: the fuel consumption is high, and the tail gas emits blue smoke, but the power is not reduced. ?
Reason: There are the following possibilities:
(1) The oil return pipe of the supercharger is not smooth, and too much oil accumulates in the middle support of the rotor assembly and flows into the compressor impeller along the rotor shaft. ?
(2) After the sealing ring or oil slinger near one end of the compressor impeller is damaged, the engine oil enters the impeller chamber, and then enters the combustion chamber together with the indoor pressurized air through the intake pipe. ?
Treatment:?
(1) Open the air outlet of the compressor or the straight intake pipe (rubber hose) of the engine, and check whether the nozzle and pipe wall are stuck with engine oil. If yes, please check whether the oil return pipe of the supercharger is unblocked. If it is not smooth, it is caused by excessive oil accumulation in the middle bracket, so the oil return pipe should be dredged and reassembled. ?
(2) If it is unblocked, it is caused by the damage of the sealing ring or oil slinger at one end of the impeller, and the supercharger should be disassembled for repair. ?
Phenomenon 3: The fuel consumption is high, the tail gas emits blue smoke or black smoke, and the power decreases. ?
Reason:?
(1) The clearance between the piston and the cylinder is too worn, and the oil runs into the combustion chamber and is burned. ?
(2) When the supercharger sucks air, the air flow encounters great resistance. (For example, the air filter element is blocked, the air inlet hose is deformed or sucked flat, etc. ), and the air inlet pressure of the compressor is low, which causes the oil to leak into the compressor and enter the combustion chamber for combustion together with compressed air. ?
Treatment:?
(1) Check whether there is engine oil on the wall of the straight air intake hose, and whether it is crushed, so that the air flow is blocked or the empty filter element is blocked. ?
(2) If there is engine oil on the nozzle and wall, clean or replace the air filter element. ?
2 is there a metal rubbing sound?
Phenomenon: black smoke from exhaust, power drop and abnormal sound from supercharger. ?
Reason:?
(1) If there is metal rubbing sound, it is caused by excessive wear of the rotor bearing or thrust bearing of the supercharger and friction between the impeller and the supercharger housing. ?
(2) If it is not the metal rubbing sound, but the air flow sound, it is the rotating sound generated by the high-speed rotation of the supercharger rotor, or the air leakage phenomenon caused by the poor connection of the intake and exhaust interfaces. ?
Treatment:?
(1) The former shall be repaired by replacing the damaged spare parts according to the wear condition. ?
(2) The latter should be carefully distinguished and targeted. ?
3?
Supercharger bearing damaged?
Phenomenon: bearing of supercharger is damaged, engine power is reduced, fuel consumption is high, and black smoke is emitted. In severe cases, the supercharger cannot work. ?
Reason:?
(1) Insufficient pressure and flow of lubricating oil. ?
A. The lubricating oil supply of the journal and thrust bearing of the supercharger is insufficient; ?
B. Insufficient lubricating oil to keep the rotor journal and bearing floating; ?
C supercharger has been running at high speed, but lubricating oil has not been supplied in time. ?
(2) sundries or sediments enter the lubrication system. ?
(3) Oxidation deterioration of engine oil. ?
A. Diesel engine oil is overheated, and too much gas escapes between the piston and the cylinder wall; ?
B. cooling water leaks into engine oil; ?
C improper selection of engine oil, failure to change engine oil regularly as required. ?
Treatment:?
(1) Check whether the lubricating oil pressure is normal and the oil quantity meets the requirements. ?
(2) Replace the lubricating oil regularly as required to ensure that the lubricating oil is clean. ?
(3) Use lubricating oil in strict accordance with the specified requirements, and do not mix them. ?
(4) Avoid the engine working at high temperature and keep the normal working temperature of the engine. ?
If the above phenomenon occurs, the turbocharger should be disassembled for cleaning and the corresponding parts should be replaced. When the turbocharger leaks oil, it is necessary to check whether the oil return pipe of the turbocharger and the ventilation pipe of the diesel engine are blocked and whether the oil cooler works normally. When the oil is found to be sludge, the oil and oil filter should be replaced immediately according to the regulations. Only in this way can the fault of supercharger be eliminated and it can be guaranteed to work in the best condition.
