With the continuous development of China's economy and society and the deepening of higher education reform, contemporary college students' concept of job selection has changed significantly, showing the characteristics of diversification, pluralism and complexity. Based on the research of "Beijing College Students' Graduation Choice Questionnaire" (the data comes from the survey results of 2895 students in Beijing colleges and universities in 2004, provided by Zhou Ya, a teacher of the School of Management), this survey systematically analyzes the factors affecting college students' graduation choice by using the principle of social statistics, so as to provide scientific basis for guiding college students to establish a correct concept of career choice.
2 Analysis of survey results
This survey randomly selected 2895 college students from Peking University, Beijing Normal University, China Renmin University, China Agricultural University and Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications as subjects and conducted a questionnaire survey. In this paper, 30% data and 849 samples were analyzed by SPSS software. First of all, we studied the basic situation of postgraduate selection. At present, there are three main choices for college students to graduate-further study in China, employment and study abroad. We can draw a conclusion that among the 777 valid samples in this survey, more than half of the graduates choose to continue their studies in China, accounting for 54.2% of the valid percentage, 37.6% choose employment and 5.0% choose to study abroad. In addition, 3.2% students are not sure about their graduation choice. What are the factors that affect college students' graduation choice? We study the survey data from the following two aspects: family social factors and personal factors. Among them, family social factors can be divided into whether the only child (female), family economic status, school and so on. Personal factors can be divided into congenital factors represented by gender and personality and acquired factors represented by education, grades and comprehensive ability. Through questionnaire survey and software analysis, the conclusion is that the choice of graduates is influenced by family, social factors and personal factors. From the perspective of family and social factors, whether the only child (female) has a certain influence on graduation choice, and the probability of the only child going abroad is obviously higher than that of the non-only child. The economic situation of the family has the most direct impact, which is in line with our expectations. On the choice of students after graduation, the economic problem is obviously the most direct. Different schools also make students' values different to some extent. In addition, different schools have different training directions and different graduation choices. In addition, there are many family and social factors that may affect the choice of graduation. We have considered concentrated and representative factors, such as the expectations of parents and relatives, the living environment of students around us, public opinion and evaluation, national policies, employment guidance for school teachers, education and training of schools, etc. Among them, the education and training of the school and the living environment of the surrounding students have great influence on the graduation choice, while other factors have no obvious influence. From the perspective of personal factors, according to the survey results, gender and personality in congenital factors have no influence on graduation choice. This is inconsistent with our hypothesis. It can be seen that a person's innate does not affect the development direction. In contrast, acquired factors have a great influence on graduation choice. First of all, with different academic qualifications, different thinking angles and different choices, graduate students have a greater tendency to pursue further studies and research. Obviously, personal achievement and comprehensive ability have a great influence on the choice.
3 Conclusions and suggestions
Since the graduation choice of college students is the result of many factors, it is necessary to make efforts in many aspects, strengthen cooperation and guide college students to form a correct concept of career choice. First of all, adhere to the correct orientation of college students' career choice education. College students are a special social group. They haven't stepped into the society yet, and they lack personal experience in real life and little social experience. His view of job selection is mainly restricted by his own subjective ideological tendency, which often comes from idealized consciousness and pursuit, is not based on objective reality, and often changes with the changes of external environment and public opinion orientation. The fever of going abroad, the fever of civil servants and the fever of taking the postgraduate entrance examination on campus are all examples. Practice has proved that with clear public opinion and correct education orientation, college students' career orientation will be clear and correct, and an atmosphere will be formed. Therefore, colleges and universities should focus on strengthening the correct orientation of college students' career choice education. Secondly, actively carry out cooperative education to enhance the social adaptability of higher education. Under the condition of market economy, colleges and universities should break through the traditional self-enclosed mode of running schools, face the talent market and implement open running schools. It is necessary to strengthen the research on the talent market, understand the changes in the demand for talents due to social and economic development, and analyze and predict the development of the talent market and the employment trend of college students in a timely manner. According to the actual situation, adjust the specialty setting, enrollment scale and talent training mode. Through cooperation with enterprises, colleges and universities can gain practical work experience and social adaptability, promote the improvement of comprehensive quality and lay the foundation for employment after graduation. Finally, college students should establish a popular concept of employment, improve their innovative ability and actively meet the challenges. With the advent of the era of knowledge economy and the popularization of science and technology, grass-roots jobs also put forward higher requirements for the scientific quality of staff. Therefore, college graduates should know themselves correctly, find out their social orientation of employment and establish a popular view of employment. In the era of knowledge economy, innovation has become the driving force of career development and the key to career success. College graduates should consciously choose cutting-edge knowledge to enrich themselves, cultivate their ability to absorb, use and create knowledge, get out of the limitations of the classroom, strengthen practical exercise, and cultivate their innovative consciousness and ability. When college students choose to graduate, they should make a scientific plan for their whole career. We should closely combine ideal with reality, make analysis and judgment, and determine the orientation of choosing a job. College graduates should also clearly realize that good personality, professionalism, enterprising spirit, cooperative spirit and team spirit are important foundations for career success. Therefore, college students should strengthen their self-cultivation, learn to respect, care and tolerate others, treat others sincerely, create a good interpersonal environment, cultivate good occupational character characteristics, and realize one leap after another in their careers.
