Information and Computational Science is an interdisciplinary major combining mathematics with information and management. The students trained in this major have a good mathematical foundation, can skillfully use computers, and initially have the ability to engage in scientific research, solve practical problems and design and develop related software in a certain direction in the field of information and computing science.

The main courses offered are: operating system, computer network, C language, software design method, data structure, computer graphics, information theory foundation, coding theory and application, image language processing and pattern recognition, applied cryptography and information security, software engineering method, mathematical analysis, linear algebra, spatial analytic geometry, complex variable function, differential equation, calculation method, management operations research, probability theory and mathematical statistics, mathematics.

The employment trend of information and computing science, graduates can engage in research, teaching, application software development in information and computing science, computer information processing, economy, finance and other departments or engage in some practical application, development research or management work in management departments after graduation. Or go to graduate school majoring in information and computer information.

Business training objectives: This major trains high-level professionals who have good mathematical literacy, master the basic theories and methods of information science and computing science, have received preliminary training in scientific research, can use their knowledge and skilled computer skills to solve practical problems, and can engage in research, teaching, application development and management in the fields of science, technology, education and economy. ?

Graduates should have the following knowledge and abilities:

1. Have a solid mathematical foundation and master the basic theories and knowledge of information science and/or computing science;

2. Skillful use of computers (including common languages, tools and some special software), with basic algorithm analysis, design ability and strong programming ability;

3. Understand an application field and be able to solve some practical problems in scientific research or production by using the theories, methods and skills learned; ?

4. Understand the new development of theory, technology and application of information science and computing science;

5. Master the basic methods of literature retrieval and data query, and have certain scientific research and software development capabilities.

Main courses: basic courses of mathematics (analysis, algebra, geometry), probability statistics, mathematical model, physics, computer foundation (introduction to calculation, algorithm and data structure, software system foundation), information science foundation, theoretical computer science foundation, numerical calculation method, computer graphics, operation and optimization, etc.
