Reflections on Reading A Seed

Open the book Scarecrow by Mr. Ye Shengtao and browse my favorite article A Seed, and my thoughts will naturally come.

There is a magic seed in the world, only one. According to legend, it will grow jasper-like buds and produce the most beautiful and fragrant flowers. Therefore, it has been favored by kings, rich people, businessmen and soldiers. They all want to use it to show off themselves and use it to get promoted and make a fortune. They planted it and took good care of it. But when they found that the seeds never germinated, they called them "dead seeds, smelly and ugly" and threw them away.

The magic seed of Mr. Ye Shengtao shows us the selfishness and ugliness of snobs. Look at the king. He said, "Now, there is only one seed. When it sprouts and blooms, there will be no second one in the world, which makes me the most honorable and powerful. " Look at the businessman again. He said, "There is only one seed now. If it blooms, it will not only make me elegant, but also cover other rich people in the world. " It can be seen that what they appreciate is not the seed itself, they are just taking the opportunity to show off their rights and wealth. These kings and wealthy businessmen remind me of those arty people. They store a cupboard full of books, beautifully packaged, but never turn to the next page. These books are just their appearances.

From this story, I see that this seed is very backbone and will not sprout for the sake of snobbish desires. It will only take root and sprout in the ordinary farmland of farmers who know its true value and produce beautiful flowers for others to appreciate. Look how beautiful and fragrant these flowers are! I praise the seed's backbone and the mind that refuses to bow to the strong. I also want to learn from this seed that I will not bow to the powerful and will not be confused by money. I will always keep a pure heart, face the world, pursue my own ideals, take root in my ideal garden, blossom and bear fruit, and bring happiness to those who know how to appreciate myself with my own efforts. I am willing to be an ordinary seed with backbone.
