How to express thesis writing in English?
According to the Academic Hall, most authors will use Chinese-English translation when writing English SCI papers. These writers need to change from Chinese thinking and Chinese expression to English thinking and English expression, and then edit and translate according to the requirements of SCI journals in order to write more authentic English papers. Some people call this English writing process of scientific papers "translation and writing", which is appropriate.

However, many authors do not understand the whole process of Chinese-English translation. They directly convert the original Chinese text into literal English, and then enter the text editing program. As a result, their English is not standard, and they don't express the author's true thoughts, and readers in other countries can't understand the author's meaning. This kind of unqualified English is mainly manifested in "Chinglish" sentence pattern and "false friend" (from French fauxamis) English words.

Example 1.

In vivo, all these peptides can cause antibody reactions, especially DTC, which is the most prominent inducible, even similar to hclv vacuum.

All these peptides can induce antibody response in vivo, especially DTC, even similar to HCLV vaccine. Chinese expressions are not difficult for China people to understand, while English expressions are so corresponding that it is difficult for readers who can only understand the author's meaning through authentic English. Because the English sentence "especially" has not only serious syntactic structure errors, but also word errors. According to the introduction in this paper, pTC has a strong inductive ability, which is a kind of ability with the concept of "quantity". It is more appropriate to use "ability" to express it than "ability". "Similar to HCLV vaccine" and "similar to HCLV vaccine" are obviously a pair of "false friends", and "similar to HCLV vaccine" is the meaning expressed by that Chinese phrase. Therefore, the last sentence of English should be written like this:

In vivo, all these peptides triggered antibody reactions, among which DTC showed the greatest priming ability-similar to HCLV vacuum.

This kind of English not only expresses the original intention of Chinese, but also makes English readers understand it correctly and feel the language is pure.

Example 2

The detailed rt-PCR procedure is described above.

This is a sentence in the "Materials and Methods" section of the paper. Its Chinese meaning is that the detailed procedure for detecting RT-PCR is as described above. This English sentence is a dead translation of a Chinese sentence. If the author is familiar with the English expressions commonly used in SCI journals, he should write the following English according to his own real situation:

Revised sentence: rt-PCR was performed as described in 2. 1.

Example 3.

The contents of phytic acid and minerals in millet have changed.

During germination.

At first glance, the underlined part is an English expression literally translated from Chinese, which translates "change" into "occur to change".

The contents of phytic acid and minerals in millet changed during identification.

Or more specifically, the phytic acid and mineral content in millet increased during the identification process.
