After China's entry into WTO, small and medium-sized enterprises are facing the challenges of economic globalization, internationalization of international competition and internationalization of domestic market competition. In this situation, only actively developing e-commerce is an effective way for small and medium-sized enterprises to get out of the predicament. To carry out e-commerce, we need to understand the characteristics of e-commerce, and then combine our own advantages, make overall planning and concrete analysis, and find a way suitable for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises. This paper analyzes the significance of developing e-commerce in small and medium-sized enterprises; This paper analyzes the main factors restricting the development of e-commerce in small and medium-sized enterprises, and holds that the main problems at present are insufficient understanding of the development of e-commerce in small and medium-sized enterprises, lack of useful information, and immature development environment such as laws and regulations.
