Talking with young English teachers about how to write scientific research papers
First, do research, engage in topics and write papers.

In the eyes of many people, the job of English teachers in primary and secondary schools is to teach and educate people; Doing research, engaging in projects and writing papers is the patent of experts and professors, which is out of reach. However, being good at observation, being willing to write and daring to contribute are the inspiration I got from the first article published, about the problem setting in text teaching. This article was written in my second year of work. According to common sense, I didn't have the favorable conditions to write scientific research papers at that time. On the one hand, I lack knowledge of teaching theory; on the other hand, I lack teaching experience. However, I am happy to observe, think and summarize my teaching.

At that time, I was teaching a new Chinese-English textbook (SEFC). Texts are characterized by a large amount of reading, a wide range of topics, a large amount of information and great difficulty in teaching, which is different from the English textbooks I used in high school. With this problem, I often attend old teachers' classes, participate in collective teaching and research, consult relevant literature, reflect on my own teaching practice, and summarize how English teachers should set high-quality and targeted questions to scientifically guide, monitor and test students' reading process.

The more wit, the less courage. As soon as the article was written, I gave it a try and voted for the authoritative magazine of English teaching in primary and secondary schools, Foreign Language Teaching in Primary and Secondary Schools. Soon after, I unexpectedly received the manuscript employment notice and revision opinions. With the care and help of the editorial department, I made some relevant modifications and adjustments to some language expressions and article structures. This article was published in the third issue of the magazine in 2000. The successful publication of this article, on the one hand, benefited from the editorial department's principle of "recognizing manuscripts but not recognizing people" and serious publication; On the other hand, I also benefited from my scientific research spirit of studying hard and being willing to write.
