Children are the future of the country and one of the most important resources for the sustainable development of society. Economic growth has laid a material foundation for protecting children. Social change has brought opportunities and resources, as well as new problems and risks. With the great attention of the central government, the concept of child protection has been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people, and the construction of a more systematic child protection system has gradually been put on the agenda.
As a professional work different from passive life care and knowledge transfer, children's social work is an indispensable part of children's social protection system.
This paper introduces the present situation and challenges of children's social work, the main contents of children's social work and the differences with other services, and analyzes the unique role and function of children's social work in China's current social protection system for children, so as to deepen the understanding of children's social work. Work content:
1. Child rearing and health care. Child rearing refers to the more perfect, comprehensive and scientific rearing and cultivation of children in various aspects such as diet feeding, reasonable nutrition, living environment and parenting facilities. Child health care mainly includes two aspects: first, maternal and child health care, that is, adopting various effective measures to reduce infant mortality;
2. Child care and education Child care refers to the care and care given to children in life, study and growth by families, nurseries, kindergartens, schools and other environments.
Children's education mainly refers to the process of making children learn to recognize, master the necessary knowledge and way of thinking, have the necessary ability in life, obtain preliminary social norms and cultivate basic moral quality through various means and channels.
3. Children's rescue and protection. Children's assistance mainly refers to the assistance and help for orphans, abandoned children and children with difficulties in life. The forms of assistance to the former mainly include children's welfare home education, family foster care and adoption. The main way to help the latter is to provide financial and material help to poor or single-parent families, so that children can get basic living security.
