Hengdang Island, located on both sides of the main channel of Humen Waterway in the Pearl River Estuary, crosses the foothills in the middle reaches of the Pearl River and is the throat of the entrance of Shiziyang, facing Zhenyuan, Jingyuan and Weiyuan across the river. The whole island covers an area of about 0.05 square kilometers and was set up in the Ming Dynasty. The battery of Hengdang Island was built in 17 17. In the twentieth year of Jiaqing (18 15), Jiang Youqi, the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, built 1 platform in front of the stage, with a perimeter of 9 1 foot. The tabletop, blastholes and trench walls are all made of concrete. In the fifth year of Daoguang (1835), Guan Tianpei, the prefect of Guangdong Navy, was rebuilt and strengthened. In the 20th year of Daoguang (1840), Lin Zexu, the governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, dug a hidden pile on the river surface on the west side of Hengtai, and installed an openable wooden raft chain between the east side and Jingyuan Terrace, which became the "golden lock copper door" for Humen fortress to intercept ships. Daoguang 2 1 year (184 1 year), during the First Opium War, British invaders landed here, occupied the island and destroyed the fort. In the 23rd year of Daoguang (1843), the battery was rebuilt. In the 6th year (1856), Xianfeng was destroyed by the British and French allied forces invading China in the Second Opium War. In the 9th year of Guangxu (1882), Zhang Shusheng, Governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, authorized the construction of the lower rail battery. In the same year, Ceng Guoquan, Governor of Guangdong and Guangxi, repaired the upper rail battery.
Throughout the history of the battery in Hengdangdao, the peak period was after the renovation of 1843, when the road was cleared. There are 100 cannons and more than 500 officers and men on the island. The battery is a breech gun battery purchased from Germany with Krupp cannon. The battery has a guide rail that can rotate 360 degrees along its gun base. The shell weighs more than 50 kilograms, its length exceeds 1.3 meters, and its range is tens of miles. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression period 1938, Japanese planes bombed and ships attacked. /kloc-0 was occupied by the Japanese army after 0/0, and some cannons were dismantled. During the Great Leap Forward steelmaking, the remaining cannons were also melted down. 1986- 1988 rebuilt the fort and was designated as a national key cultural relics protection unit. The supporting tourist facilities on the island include tropical beach tourist area, luxury suite with sea view, barbecue field, racing track, pine forest racing track, racecourse, reptile zoo, rest corridor of water bathing place, Chinese and western restaurants with sea view, beach motorcycle, mushroom pavilion, ancient temple and so on. Swimming and holiday facilities are in place.

Direction of Guangzhou: Take Metro Line 4 to Jiaomen Station, take Nansha Bus No.3 and get off at Times Nanwan Station, then follow the signs across the street to Hengduan Island Tourism Service Center and take a yacht to Hengduan Island.
