When the first page is inserted into the next page,
The section break to insert the separator must be section break! ! !
Then click View/Header and Footer to display the toolbar.
Place the cursor at the footer of the second page. There is an image on the toolbar.
For an icon like an open book, when the mouse is placed on it, the link of the previous one will be displayed, and when clicked, it will not link to the previous one, that is, the back has nothing to do with the front.
Insert the page number again and the second page will show 2. Don't worry.
Or find Page Number Format in the toolbar. The default is to continue the previous section and change it to the starting value 1.
There is also a 1 on the home page. Delete the home page directly!
Function and use of separator
First, insert a page break.
When the page is full of text or graphics, Word will automatically insert a page break and start a new page. If you want to force pagination at a specific location, you can insert a "manual" page break, which will ensure that chapter titles always start on a new page. First, place the insertion point where you want to insert a page break, and then you can insert a "manual" page break by any of the following methods:
1. press Ctrl+Enter.
2. Execute Insert → Delimiter, open the Delimiter dialog box, click the page break and confirm.
Second, insert a column break.
After the document (or some paragraphs) is divided into columns, the Word document will be automatically divided into columns in the appropriate position. If you want something to appear at the top of the next column, you can insert a column break. The specific steps are as follows (in order to present the effect, the operated paragraph is divided into two columns first):
1. In Page view, place the insertion point in a new column.
2. Execute Insert → Delimiter to open the Delimiter dialog box.
3. Select the "Column Break" item in the "Separator" box, and then click the "OK" button.
Third, insert a line break.
Usually, when the text reaches the right margin of the document page, Word automatically wraps. Select Line Break in the Delimiter dialog box, and then click OK (or press Shift+Enter directly) to force a line break at the insertion point (the line break appears as a gray "↓"). Unlike pressing the Enter key directly, the new line generated by this method will still be part of the current line segment.
Four. Insert section break.
A section is part of a document. Before inserting section break, Word treated the whole document as a section. When you need to change the characteristics such as line number, column number or footer and margins, you need to create a new section. Insert section break as follows:
1. Position the insertion point at the beginning of the new section.
2. Execute Insert → Delimiter to open the Delimiter dialog box.
3. In section break Type, select one of the following options.
Next Page: If this option is selected, everything after the current cursor position will be moved to the next page.
Continuous: If you select this option, Word will add a section break at the insertion point, and the new section will start from the current page.
Even pages: the content after the current cursor position will be transferred to the next even page, and Word will automatically leave a page between even pages.
Odd pages: the content after the current cursor position will be transferred to the next odd page, and Word will automatically leave a page between odd pages.
4. Click the OK button.
Note: If you can't see the separator mark in Page view, you can click Show/Hide Edit Mark on the Standard toolbar to show it, or switch to normal view to view it, select a separator or put the cursor in front of it, and then press Delete to delete it.
