Since 13, Professor Li has been cooperating with Professor Zhong Zhihua to study national key scientific and technological projects such as "integrated technology and equipment of stamping process and die CAD, computer simulation and computer-aided manufacturing", and has achieved a series of advanced achievements at home and abroad, becoming an academic leader in the field of automobile manufacturing in China. In 2003, Professor Zhong Zhihua and Professor Lee Kuan Yew won the first prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award for their project "Sheet metal stamping technology and die design theory, calculation method and key technology and their application in automobile body manufacturing". In 2005, Professor Zhong Zhihua and Professor Lee Kuan Yew's Theory, Methods and Key Technologies of Automobile Collision Safety Design and Improvement won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award. For more than ten years, Professor Lee Kuan Yew has been in charge of the National 973 Plan 1 sub-project, 2 key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, 2 key projects of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars 1 project, and many enterprise projects. He has published more than 40 papers in important magazines at home and abroad, including SCI papers 14, EI papers more than 30, and SCI papers cited 3 1. Professor Li has also won the highest scientific and technological achievement award in Hunan Province-Hunan Science and Technology Award, the best paper award of the international magazine Engineering Computation 200 1, the first prize of scientific and technological progress in Hunan Province, the 7th May 4th Medal of China Youth, the young scientific and technological expert of China mechanical industry, the candidate of the trans-century outstanding talent training plan of the Ministry of Education, the national candidate of the 100 million talents project in the new century, the second prize of scientific and technological progress in China universities and the first prize of general scientific and technological achievements in China.
Professor Lee Kuan Yew is the first lotus scholar in Hunan Province to plan distinguished professor.
