Guangdong University of Technology introduced:

Guangdong University of Technology, referred to as Guanggong for short, is a provincial-level key university under key construction in Guangdong Province, Guangdong Province's "2 1 1 project", the first batch of high-level universities in Guangdong Province, and the national "1/plan".

Guangdong University of Technology can be traced back to Guangzhou Institute of Technology 1942. Guangzhou Institute of Technology was established on the basis of it by 1958, and was upgraded to Guangdong Institute of Technology by 1962.

1970 The whole school was moved to Nanhua Temple, and some departments and majors were transferred to South China Institute of Technology. 1982 moved back to Guangzhou; 1995 Guangdong Institute of Technology, East Campus of South China Institute of Architecture and Guangdong Institute of Machinery merged to form Guangdong University of Technology.

As of April 23rd, the school has several campuses, including University Town, Dongfeng Road, Longdong, Panyu, Shahe and Jieyang, covering a total area of more than 5,300 mu.

Academic resources

As of June, 2022, the library of Guangdong University of Technology has five campuses: University Town, Longdong, Dongfeng Road, Panyu and Jieyang, with a total construction area of 6,543,800 square meters, more than 7,000 reading, self-study and leisure seats, with weekly opening hours of 654.38+ 005 hours and 24-hour self-service space.

By the end of February, 2002 1,1,there were 4,465,438 paper documents, 2,458,400 electronic books, 2 document databases 102, 65,438 master's and doctoral dissertations, and 55,800 electronic periodicals, and an international online retrieval system was opened.

By June, 2022, the library of Guangdong University of Technology had passed the China Higher Education Document Guarantee System (CALIS), the Humanities and Social Sciences Document Center (CASHL) and the National Science and Technology Document Information Center.
