Application of heterogeneous catalytic oxidation technology in industrial vocs waste gas treatment
Industrial waste gas emission is one of the main factors of air pollution at present, which not only causes destructive damage to the atmospheric environment, but also poses a threat to human life and health. It can be said that industrial waste gas pollution is a prominent environmental problem in China at present. In the treatment of industrial waste gas, one of the main problems is the treatment of volatile organic compound waste gas. The so-called organic waste gas refers to all kinds of hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes, acids, ketones and amines. Different industrial waste gases (with different concentrations and compositions) have different treatment methods and technologies. This paper introduces the application of heterogeneous catalytic oxidation technology in industry.

Heterogeneous catalytic oxidation technology is a new type of waste gas treatment technology, which combines photocatalytic oxidation, ultraviolet quantum photolysis, advanced oxidant and other technologies and is widely used in the market at present.

Working principle of heterogeneous catalytic oxidation technology;

Photocatalytic oxidation: When the surface of some rare metal oxides (catalysts) is irradiated by 254nm ultraviolet rays, organic molecules and oxygen molecules will generate water and carbon dioxide at the lowest layer of the catalyst.

UV photolysis: high-energy radiation will produce highly active oxygen atoms and ozone on oxygen molecules; At the same time, irradiation will produce organic chain scission on organic molecules, resulting in active small molecular organics. Small organic molecules with strong activity react with oxygen atoms and ozone to generate water and carbon dioxide.

Advanced oxidant: Atomizing the advanced oxidant enhances the oxidation capacity inside the equipment, improves the efficiency of the equipment, and finally generates water and carbon dioxide with organic matter.
