This is one of the best Buddhist colleges in Han Buddhism, which not only produces many eminent monks, but also teaches great teachers. This year marks the seventieth anniversary of Master Taixu's birth. Master Taixu is known as one of the "Four Great Monks" in the Republic of China. He lives in a turbulent and dangerous modern society. He devoted his life to the development of Buddhism and the rejuvenation of the country with his determination to love his country and religion, foresight and innovative spirit. He once put forward the Buddhist reform thought of "teaching theory, teaching system and teaching production", put forward the establishment of a new monk group system, initiated the thought of life Buddhism and human Buddhism, and laid the foundation for the development of Buddhism in China in modern society; He also attached importance to Sangha education, advocated the cultivation of monk talents, and founded a number of well-known Buddhist educational institutions at home and abroad, such as Wuchang Buddhist College, Minnan Buddhist College and Sino-Tibetan Buddhist College, which led the trend of establishing Buddhist colleges in the Republic of China. In the autumn of the national crisis and the national anti-Japanese war, he also made many compositions and speeches to invigorate the national spirit and support the anti-Japanese cause. Master Taixu is not only a profound Buddhist theorist, but also an active practitioner of modern Buddhist reform and a model of patriotism and love for religion in modern Buddhism. Therefore, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Master Taixu's death, it is of great significance to hold this commemorative activity and hold a seminar to edit the complete works of Master Taixu.

The launching ceremony began with the "Three Treasure Songs" written by Master Taixu during his abbot in Nanputuo, and was composed by Master Hongyi. The ceremony was presided over by Master Jing 'an, Dean of Minnan Buddhist College. Then Master Wu first delivered a speech: Nanputuo Temple, a thousand-year-old temple, is the birthplace, practice place and export place of Master Taixu's Buddhist life thought. In the mage reform, Nanputuo Temple took the establishment of a teaching field to carry forward Buddhism and benefit students as its purpose, carried out the practice of abstinence from Buddhism and cultivated the wisdom of monks, thus ushered in a brilliant atmosphere. Under the auspices of the master, Minnan Buddhist College has also reformed its school-running policy, curriculum and teaching methods. Since then, Fujian Academy has gained great fame and spread far and wide, becoming a famous Buddhist institution of higher learning at home and abroad and an important Buddhist education center in modern China. The exploration of Sangha education has led the development direction of Sangha education in China and trained a large number of outstanding Buddhist monks for China Buddhism. He emphasized that when we held the compilation meeting of the Complete Works of Master Taixu, we not only deeply remembered the merits of the master for Buddhism, but more importantly, we felt the model of great virtue from the master's words, inherited the master's spirit and ideas, followed his sad wishes and deep deeds, and strived to lead all living beings to become Buddhists.

The newly compiled Complete Works will keep the original appearance of Master Taixu Encyclopedia edited by Master Yin Shun as much as possible, comprehensively sort out and check the existing materials, and supplement and add new materials. Work will begin with the compilation of supplementary materials. Seventy years after the publication of Master Taixu Encyclopedia, scholars at home and abroad have benefited a lot. However, due to the limitation of time and conditions at that time, and with the development of the times and the expansion of readers, there is still room for further improvement in materials and styles. The newly compiled Complete Works will attract and invite experts and scholars in the fields of modern Buddhism and history at home and abroad as much as possible, and make great efforts to use modern retrieval tools to collect, sort out and include relevant materials, so as to make this book a reference for colleagues in modern research and research in the Republic of China.

Throughout Master Taixu's life, Master Taixu has formed an indissoluble bond with Ta Kung Pao. According to the inquiry of Buddhist journalists in Ta Kung Pao, since 1930, Master Taixu has been publishing his own articles in Ta Kung Pao, carefully choosing his words and stirring up current affairs, which is quite a master. For example, on June 7th 1940, Ta Kung Pao published an article "Buddhism and International Anti-aggression" written by Master Tai Xu in the third edition, hoping that Buddhists should shoulder the responsibility of upholding justice and work together to eliminate the harm that war may bring to mankind. On July 7 of the same year, Ta Kung Pao published the article "Spiritual Unity and Adjustment of Buddhism" by Master Tai Xu, hoping that the society would change the concept of discrimination and contempt for Buddhism and some practices that hurt Buddhists. It also hoped that monks all over the country would pay attention to studying Buddhist scriptures, learn more about positive solutions and implement them rationally. On September 1942 and 19, Ta Kung Pao published Master Taixu's Future Culture of China, in order to give full play to the tolerant characteristics of the Chinese nation, promote cultural development and realize social harmonious culture. These inspiring voices still have practical guiding significance today, and are worth studying, studying and pursuing today.

As a Buddhist reformer who influenced the world, Master Taixu influenced the development of Buddhism and even the whole China society with his own voice and actions. Ta Kung Pao is a place where Master Tai Xu discusses current affairs and expresses his insights. He has assumed due responsibilities and made due contributions to the spread and clarification of Buddhism.
