Sociology: Which expert please explain prostitution from the perspective of conflict theory?
The viewpoint of conflict theory: Prostitution is one of many social examples of economic and political inequality between men and women.

Prostitution reveals the power relationship in society, that is, the relationship between male power and female power. There are so many women in society who sell themselves to men, but few men prostitute themselves to women. In prostitution, men (pimps or clients) constantly profit from it at the expense of exploiting women, while women are only valuable when they are young and beautiful (17 to 24 years old). Most women become prostitutes because their social background is low and working class, and their education level is low, which makes their sexual ability one of their few economic resources. Therefore, the conflict theorists believe that the prerequisite for prostitution not to deteriorate further is to truly obtain women's equal rights.

Feminist point of view: Early feminists believed that the subordinate position of women in society was the basis for understanding the existence of prostitution. This is the same as the view of conflict. Some western feminists support prostitution as a "career choice" of sexual liberalism and a form for women to obtain employment. However, most feminists believe that prostitution symbolizes and fixes harmful patriarchal beliefs and principles, which are not only harmful to women who sell their bodies, but also harmful to all women in our society and their social status. From the perspective of safeguarding women's survival and equal rights and interests, they deeply criticized the porn industry that strengthened male chauvinism.
