Graduation thesis defense report

Good morning, dear teachers! What is my name? I am a freshman in watercolor class. My thesis is entitled "Talking about the Function and Interest of Water in Watercolor". The thesis was completed under the careful guidance of the tutor party teacher. Here, I would like to express my deep gratitude to the party teachers and heartfelt thanks to all the teachers for taking the trouble to participate in my thesis defense. Below I will report the writing purpose, practical significance and main contents of this paper to all teachers, and ask them to criticize and guide me.

First of all, I want to talk about the writing purpose and practical significance of this article.

We know that watercolor painting originated in England in16th century and developed in western European countries in1820th century. When we study western watercolor painting, it is not difficult to find that western watercolor painting emphasizes color, light and shadow, texture, inherits oil painting techniques in techniques and expresses things in a realistic way. Modern and contemporary watercolor painting art, especially China's watercolor painting art, got rid of the imprisonment of western painting thought, used a lot of water, and emphasized the water rhyme and lyric style of the picture. The use of water has become the core of watercolor painting, or water is the soul. We usually say that water without color is not called watercolor, and water without color is not called watercolor. Here I emphasize the former and think that water is the primary component of watercolor. Contemporary domestic watercolor painters and Zhang all emphasize that water is the key to the success or failure of watercolor painting. However, many scholars did not realize the importance of this view, nor did they conduct systematic and in-depth research. That's why I analyzed this topic and put its water in the correct position of watercolor painting. This will guide the development of contemporary watercolor painting, especially the development direction of China watercolor painting.

Secondly, I want to talk about the structure and main contents of this article.

This paper is based on total score and total score. The thesis consists of two parts. The first part is the position and function of water in watercolor painting, which is the core part of this paper. We know that watercolor painting uses water to harmonize colors, which means that water can dilute, harmonize and mediate colors. Moreover, various techniques and texture effects of watercolor painting depend on the role of water. Therefore, it can be said that water is the lifeblood or soul of watercolor painting, which runs through all aspects of watercolor painting. This paper demonstrates this central argument with three arguments, and further states that water is the lifeblood or core of watercolor painting. First, the characteristics of water in watercolor painting; The second is the penetration of watercolor in texture effect; The third is the way of water use in watercolor painting techniques.

The second part is the unique interest of China's watercolor painting, that is, he likes and is good at using water. This part is the affirmation and extension of the first part. This part analyzes the origin of China's watercolor painting. There are three sources: first, the influence of China traditional culture on watercolor water taste; Secondly, the influence of China traditional painting art on the water taste of watercolor painting; Thirdly, the influence of China's regional environment on watercolor water taste. At the end of the paper, I think water is the lifeblood of watercolor painting, and the correct use of water directly affects the normal play of watercolor painting techniques. However, we should not stick to the dogma of watercolor characteristics. We need to combine the essence of our national culture and national characteristics to create watercolor works with watercolor language with China characteristics.

Finally, I want to talk about the shortcomings of this paper and the system.

The writing process of this paper is also a process in which I became more and more aware of my lack of knowledge and experience. Although, I try my best to collect materials and use what I have learned to write my thesis. However, due to the lack of cognitive ability, there are many biased and shallow places in understanding, and some views are naive; Because of the weak theoretical foundation, there are many problems of poor logic and unsatisfactory wording; Please criticize and correct me, so that I can learn more in my future study.

After my thesis presentation, please ask questions and give directions.
