How many years do you usually study in Australia?
In Australia, the general three-year undergraduate (four-year engineering) is not graded, and there is generally no requirement for graduation thesis. As long as you pass the exam and get enough credits, you can get a degree. For students with good grades, "graduated with excellent results" will be added to the diploma. But a three-year undergraduate course can add an honorary degree for one year. I spend half my time in class and half my time doing papers this year. Grading according to grades and papers after graduation. The rating is the same as that of the UK. This year is not free. Students with good grades will receive this year's admission invitation (usually with scholarships).
You don't need to spend another year looking for a job or going to Australia for graduate study. As long as you get good grades within three years, you can be promoted directly. But this year is necessary if you want to study for a doctor or a graduate student. At the same time, because Australia belongs to the British model of education, if you want to apply for a postgraduate or doctoral degree in the United States, you need to obtain an honorary bachelor's degree according to their requirements. In other words, if you want to study in Australia and go directly to the United States, you are basically required to study in that year and get an honorary degree (some American schools may accept a three-year Australian undergraduate course without awarding an honorary degree, or a four-year engineering undergraduate course).
