What is sports training?
Construction of three-level theoretical system of sports training

When describing the theoretical system of sports training, people can have different frameworks from the horizontal and vertical dimensions. Horizontally, the theoretical system of sports training mainly includes five aspects: principles, contents, methods, arrangements and loads of sports training. Vertically, it can be interpreted as including general training, event group training and special training. The theoretical system of sports training is applicable to all sports. Sports training theory suitable for some sports is called "event group training"; The sports training theory suitable for a specific sport is called "special training", and the key to construct such a three-level theoretical system lies in the proposal and establishment of event group training.

1984 Tian Maijiu put forward the idea of establishing "classified training". 1987 published a paper entitled "Conception and Naming of Event Group Training Theory" in academic journals. 1990 published the paper "Establishment and Application of Event Group Training Theory" in Beijing Asian Science Association, which was officially published in 1998.

In the General Textbook of Sports Training published in 2000, the theory of event group training was listed as an important chapter, which shows that the theory of event group training has been recognized by the training community and reached a * * * understanding. The first section of this chapter is the general theory of event group training, including the establishment and scientific significance of event group training theory, the division and classification of competitive sports, the composition of event group system and the application of event group training theory. The second section discusses the competitive characteristics and training methods of eight different sports groups aggregated according to the leading factors of athletes' competitive ability.

The theory of event group training has been highly valued by the sports community for more than ten years, and has been continuously developed and improved.
