A base station is a wireless communication base station and a form of radio station. A base station refers to a radio transceiver that transmits information to a mobile phone terminal through a wireless communication switching center within a certain radio coverage area. The connection mode of each base station is different, so according to the connection mode, we can include one or several sectors, and the sector refers to the coverage area. In areas with dense users, the coverage area is usually controlled to avoid interference with neighboring base stations. The physical structure of the base station consists of two parts: baseband module and RF module. Baseband module mainly completes baseband modulation and demodulation, radio resource allocation, call processing, power control and soft handover. The RF module mainly completes the conversion between air RF channel and baseband digital channel, as well as the functions of RF channel amplification, transceiver and so on. Grounding lightning protection system can ensure the safety and work efficiency of the base station. The base station computer room must meet the bearing capacity of the equipment, and there must be no water seepage, water leakage, cracks and other phenomena. Surveyors must keep records of on-site equipment in time, and some equipment must be photographed regularly to prevent problems from affecting signal transmission.
Secondly, the power-on problem of the equipment. When the equipment is electrified, the staff must wear insulated shoes and the tools used should be insulated. The winding thickness should be more than three times. No cables are allowed to be connected during construction, and the power cord connector must be insulated. Before the equipment is powered on, check whether the connection between DC power cord and power ground wire is firm. If it is not solid, it must be solved in time. Firstly, a ring grounding device is needed, which is mainly distributed around the base station and buried to a certain depth according to the standard to form a closed ring grounding body. Grounding collection line, grounding bus, connecting line between grounding collection line and grounding body, grounding system grounding line and grounding body, and the grounding lines mentioned above have laid a good foundation for lightning protection and grounding technology, and they are all equipment in the land around the base station, except the ground. Lightning arresters need to be installed above the base station room. If it is difficult to use lightning arresters in the lightning protection reconstruction of existing overhead high-voltage power lines, a group of zinc oxide lightning arresters can be installed on the terminal pole of overhead high-voltage power lines and the first, third or second and fourth poles in front of the terminal pole, and a group of high-voltage fuses can be installed on the third or fourth pole.
In addition to the installation of lightning rods, there are also applications of lightning protection devices. The main application is lightning arresters, and their indicators and other parameters must comply with the provisions of relevant standards and norms. The application of lightning protection and grounding technology is mainly to bury grounding wires in the land around the base station, and lightning rods need to be installed above the computer room, so that the current can be smoothly introduced into the ground in lightning weather, and then neutralized to prevent the current from having a huge impact on the equipment in the computer room. But in addition to these superficial works, we have also applied lightning protection and grounding technology to some operating equipment to prevent the lightning protection work on the surface from not being done well and loopholes appearing in the links. In order to ensure sufficient safety, due to different terrain conditions, the composition of grounding grid should be considered flexibly, and the lightning protection belt on the roof should be connected with the grounding grid of the tower. One or more points (more than two) should be welded underground and above ground to ensure safety.
In the process of construction, the author has a profound understanding of this. During the fifth phase construction of Gansu Unicom G network 20 12, a lightning strike accident occurred in a base station in Tujiawan, Dingxi City, and the power board of the base station equipment was burnt out, which led to the paralysis of the base station and the interruption of communication. After analysis, it is because the lightning protection and grounding system failed to play a protective role, and the lightning was not released through the earth in time, but was introduced into the computer room through the connecting line.
The above is the importance of lightning protection and grounding technology, because some buildings will be damaged by lightning in thunderstorm days, so the establishment of base stations must also take this factor into account. In order to ensure the normal operation of the base station and improve the efficiency of serving people, in case of unnecessary trouble and inconvenience to people's lives in thunderstorm weather, the traditional base station technology will be banned from operating in thunderstorm weather to prevent greater consequences, but since the successful adoption of lightning protection and grounding technology, our base station application has become more and more effective.
