Regional subsystem. This subsystem includes five subsystems: road subsystem, safety monitoring subsystem, expressway charging subsystem, parking management subsystem and commercial vehicle verification subsystem, which belong to regional type. This kind of subsystem usually needs to enter some specific locations on the roadside to install or maintain detectors, signal lights, program-controlled information boards and other facilities. In general, the regional subsystem is connected with one or more central subsystems by wire, and at the same time, it is often necessary to interact with vehicles passing through the deployed sections.
Traveler subsystem. This subsystem takes travelers or travel service operators as the service object, and uses the related functions of intelligent transportation system to realize effective support for multimodal transport. Remote travel support subsystem and personal information access subsystem belong to traveler subsystem. Traveler subsystem can also communicate directly with other subsystems by wired or wireless means.
Vehicle subsystem. This subsystem is generally installed on the vehicle. According to the types of vehicles, the vehicle type subsystem can be subdivided into ordinary vehicle subsystem, emergency vehicle subsystem, commercial vehicle subsystem, public transport vehicle subsystem and maintenance engineering vehicle subsystem. These subsystems can communicate wirelessly with the central subsystem, regional subsystem and traveler subsystem as required, and can also communicate with other vehicles.
