Director of the Institute of History of Nankai University, one of the pioneers of Japanese history in New China recognized by academic circles. 1932 was admitted to the history department of Imperial University in Kyoto, Japan. 1936 returned to China after graduation and worked as a lecturer at Shandong University. War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression joined the Eighth Route Army after the outbreak. Later, he left the team to participate in the formation of "NLD" and "Jiu San Society". He has been a professor in the history department of Sichuan University and a professor in the history department of Wuhan University. 1949 was transferred to the history department of Nankai university, and the director 1977 was elected as the vice chairman of Tianjin CPPCC. From 65438 to 0980, he served as the editorial board member of the Foreign History Volume of the Encyclopedia of China and director of the Asian History Group. 65438-0980 was the first president of China Japanese History Society. He has been the editor-in-chief of the core academic journal History Teaching for 40 years. His representative works include Japanese History (editor-in-chief) and Japanese Modernization Research (editor-in-chief). He put forward the "Meiji Restoration bourgeois revolution theory" by using Marxist state theory and the "two-point theory" of revolution and reform, which was widely valued by Chinese and Japanese historians.
