This paper focuses on three payment methods among the three most commonly used international settlement methods in international trade, and analyzes the risks of Chinese commercial banks in international settlement from the perspective of relevant bank customers. On the basis of relevant cases, it uses SWOT, UCP600 and other trade theories and practices to conduct in-depth research, which leads to a better understanding and puts forward preventive measures for commercial risks.

This paper includes the following three parts:

The first part introduces the development and trend of commercial banks in international settlement business, and studies the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and risks of commercial banks in international settlement by SWOT analysis.

The second section mainly studies and analyzes the risks of the three parties in international settlement under the provisions of the Bank for International Settlements (bis).

The third part mainly expounds the different risk prevention faced by relevant bank customers in business operation under three international settlement methods, and puts forward effective risk prevention measures.
