Core basic courses and specialized courses have corresponding experimental courses to cultivate students' practical ability, and basic training courses and comprehensive experiments of traditional Chinese medicine have been set up to strengthen the cultivation of students' scientific research practical ability. Elective courses reflecting the discipline characteristics of the School of Pharmacy of our university are also offered, such as ethnopharmacology, national medicinal plant resources, and an introduction to traditional medicine of ethnic minorities in China. At the same time, it provides students with graduation thesis, innovative education, social practice, academic papers and other teaching links. Students can apply to participate in various undergraduate research and training programs, and on this basis, participate in school-level and Beijing-level discipline competitions. The undergraduate major of traditional Chinese medicine is a newly-built undergraduate major approved by the Ministry of Education in 20 18, School of Pharmacy, Central University for Nationalities. It has advanced instruments and equipment at home and abroad and good teaching and research conditions. There are academic backbones of Han, Uygur, Hui, Korean, Mongolian, Manchu, Yi and Tibetan nationalities headed by Professor Zaipal Abulizi, forming a high-level teaching team. Full-time teachers have senior professional and technical positions, doctoral degrees and overseas study experience. Relying on the "2 1 1" project, "985 project" and "double-class" construction, the college was approved by the National Ethnic Medicine Committee-Ministry of Education to build key laboratories in 2006, and the discipline of ethnic medicine was approved by Beijing interdisciplinary in 2008 and the innovation team of the Ministry of Education in 2008 (IRT 08765438+). College teachers undertake many projects of National Natural Science Foundation, key research projects of Ministry of Education and State Ethnic Affairs Commission, and cooperative projects from enterprises. 20 18 Professor Zaipal Abu Lizi, vice president of our school and dean of the College of Pharmacy, was the project leader, and Minzu University of China was the lead unit. The 20 17 national key R&D plan "research on modernization of traditional Chinese medicine", which integrates the dominant units and teams in the field of domestic ethnic medicine, was officially approved, indicating that the discipline of ethnic medicine in China is based on national demand and academic frontier, leading the research on modernization of ethnic medicine in ethnic minority areas and has been widely recognized by academic circles. Scientific research projects, such as scientific research platform and R&D key plan, provide high-quality research platforms for college teaching and talent training.
