Xinyi dialect is divided into two areas, the urban area and the towns in the northwest of the urban area belong to Xuhuai District of Central Plains Mandarin, and some towns in the southeast of the urban area belong to Hongchao District of Jianghuai Mandarin. There are thirteen counties and cities in Xuhuai area, namely Huaibei City, Anhui Province, Dangshan County and Xiaoxian County, Suzhou City. Jiangsu Xuzhou, tongshan district, Fengxian, Peixian, Pizhou, Suining, Suqian, xinyi city, Donghai (North) and Ganyu (to be determined). Xinyi dialect is close to Mandarin, with little grammatical difference, but great lexical difference. According to Xinyi himself, there are obvious differences in pronunciation. That is, Xinyi dialect and Putonghua have the local characteristics of Jianghuai dialect in entering tone and vocabulary.
