With the development of the times, construction sites are getting closer to art, not just technology. Web design, website builders are more and more oriented. At present, there is little research in this field in China. The author compares web design with other art forms, and tries to make a preliminary summary and theoretical research on this emerging art design from three aspects: the content, principles and characteristics of web design art. The author thinks that web page art is a highly technical art design, and web page art design includes audio-visual design elements and layout elements. The unity of distinct theme, format and content emphasizes the five characteristics of the principle of overall design: interactivity, persistence, multidimensional, comprehensiveness, uncontrollable format and compactness of art and technology. On the basis of clarifying the relationship between webpage design and artistic theme, webpage design and production is a new subject of audio-visual design formed with computer and Internet. On the basis of obtaining the technical and artistic experience of the times, webpage designers consciously plan the webpage component art according to the design requirements. Design will inevitably become an important part of art and develop with the development of network technology. On the surface, it is about the skills and methods of layout. In fact, it is not only a skill, but also a high degree of unity of art and technology.
