Writing papers on behalf of others is illegal and belongs to a legal vacuum, but it violates some rules and regulations of the Ministry of Education. At the same time, it is very bad for those who want to take the academic road in the future, because it belongs to academic fraud, and scholars must pay attention to their reputation. According to article 17 of the Copyright Law, the ownership of copyright in commissioned works can be divided into two situations: first, the trustee and the client can agree on the ownership of copyright by themselves. Second, in the absence of special agreement between the parties, the law stipulates that copyright belongs to the trustee. Therefore, helping others to write for others does not violate the legal provisions on copyright, but at the level of academic papers, it should violate the relevant management system.
