The ways of self-cultivation advocated by Confucianism are: self-cultivation, self-denial, cautious independence and introspection. Confucianism has long occupied the position of mainstream thought. Confucianism advocates the way of loving others, understanding the order of human relations, and advocating self-cultivation. Especially "the way of body and mind", it is related to how we get along with others, how to get along with ourselves, and how to keep our position and heart in this noisy society. In the aspect of self-cultivation, Confucianism emphasizes meditation, self-improvement, tolerance, prudence and self-examination.

The connotation of Confucian cultivation;

Prudent and independent. In fact, there are three realms of caution, one is caution, the other is caution at the beginning, and the third is caution at the end, and always keep the right direction in your heart. Confucius said that the way to be cautious and independent is "see no evil, don't listen if you are indecent, don't speak if you are indecent, and don't move if you are indecent". In fact, to put it bluntly, it is to cultivate people's virtue and stay away from animals, but this thing is extremely rare. Therefore, being cautious and independent is also the highest realm of personal moral cultivation.

Introspection is particularly important for people. Socrates said that life needs reflection, and Mr. Feng Youlan said that systematic reflection on life becomes philosophy. Therefore, reflection can enhance people's wisdom. In China culture, this spirit of reflection is called introspection. Confucius said that life should be "think twice before you act", and Ceng Zi said that life needs reflection and thinking.
