The School of Education Science of South China Normal University is the key construction department of South China Normal University, and it is the research center of education science, basic education research center and teacher education center of Guangdong Province. This university has a long history. Its predecessor was the Department of Education, which was established in 1933 and was added by the Teachers College of Li Qin University in 1935. 195 1, the Department of Education of South China Normal University was established. The doctoral and master's degree authorization points of the college cover two disciplines (majors) of pedagogy, such as pedagogy principle, curriculum and teaching theory, comparative pedagogy, education leadership science, higher education, education history, basic education, preschool education, vocational and technical education, special education, adult education, children's organization and ideological education. At the same time, the college is also the first batch of professional degree authorization points in China with doctor of education (now with two research fields of education leadership and management, school curriculum and teaching) and master of education (now with two training directions of education management, primary education and preschool education), and has 1 Guangdong province humanities and social sciences research base-modern education research and development center, 1 Guangdong province first-class key discipline- Guangdong kindergarten director training base and Guangdong kindergarten teacher training base are also located in our hospital.

At present, there are more than 450 full-time undergraduates, more than 430 full-time postgraduates, more than 60 on-the-job education masters/kloc-0, and more than 90 full-time doctors and postdocs. A complete talent training system of "bachelor-master-doctor-postdoctoral" has been formed.

The college has always attached importance to educational academic research.
