Both databases provide full-text PDF downloads, which means that you can download scanned versions of the original text. However, HowNet and Wanfang are both downloaded for a fee. You can register an account and save some money. A few cents each, not expensive. If it is a general reading, it is still affordable.

In addition, many universities have agreements with HowNet and Wanfang to download data for free on campus. If possible, it is better to download in these schools, which is more convenient. Personally, I think art professional journals are more comprehensive than HowNet.
