Li Lanjuan's Outstanding Contribution
1986, Li Lanjuan applied for the youth scientific research fund for the treatment of severe hepatitis with artificial liver. In order to overcome the worldwide problem that the mortality rate of severe hepatitis is as high as 80%, she has worked hard for more than 10 years to overcome the problems of easy bleeding and hypotension in artificial liver treatment, and created a set of effective artificial liver support system to treat severe hepatitis, which has made a major breakthrough. The cure rate of acute and subacute severe hepatitis increased from 1 1.9% to 78.9%, and the cure rate of chronic severe liver disease increased from 15.4% to 43.4%, which opened up a new way to treat severe hepatitis. She became the pioneer of artificial liver technology in China. After the successful treatment of severe hepatitis with artificial liver, she passed on this technology to her colleagues all over the country without reservation. The First Hospital of Zhejiang Medical University held eight national classes to promote the achievements of artificial liver, which promoted the application of artificial liver technology in more than 300 hospitals in more than 30 provinces and cities across the country, and achieved the same good curative effect, which made many patients with severe liver diseases raise the sails of life again.

Li Lanjuan has also been invited to Beijing, Shanghai and other places for many times to apply artificial liver technology to rescue patients with liver failure and achieved success. A transplant patient in hematology department of Beijing People's Hospital developed severe liver failure, jaundice rose rapidly and his life was in danger. Li Lanjuan was on a business trip to Zhoushan Island when he received the consultation call. She immediately decided to lead the artificial liver treatment group to Beijing, and made four artificial liver support system treatments for patients, so that patients turned the corner.

After the artificial liver project 1998 won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award, she actively promoted it to the whole country, and the project was included in the national key training and promotion project of continuing medical education. The Department of Infectious Diseases of the First Hospital of Zhejiang Medical University has established an artificial liver center and a national artificial liver training base. Professor Li Lanjuan has made many special reports at academic conferences at home and abroad, and more than 300 hospitals in more than 20 provinces and cities across the country have applied artificial liver technology.

She is also the head of the group of liver failure and artificial liver of Ren Zhonghua Society of Infectious Diseases and Parasitic Diseases, and presided over the formulation of "Guidelines for the Treatment of Artificial Liver Support System in China", which defined the necessary conditions for the development of artificial liver technology, indications, relative contraindications, criteria for judging curative effect and technical operation specifications of artificial liver treatment. She presided over the first, second and third international and domestic conferences on artificial liver, and edited the first monograph on artificial liver in China. Li Lanjuan has also published many papers in authoritative magazines at home and abroad, and cooperated with Japanese and other countries to serve as the China director of the International Society for Blood Purification, which has improved the international status of the China medical community in treating hepatitis. In 2003, Li Lanjuan put forward and adopted a series of innovative measures to control the SARS epidemic in the province, achieved zero infection rate among medical staff in the province, and eliminated the second generation of patients nationwide. Li Lanjuan also led the research team to study the detection, pathogenesis and prevention of SARS virus, and achieved certain results. I will apply more innovative ideas to administrative work, keep abreast of the progress and trends in the international and domestic health field, and put forward many forward-looking development ideas and plans.

In addition, in the fight against SARS, she put forward a series of prevention and control measures to ensure that there were no second-generation patients and medical staff infected in Zhejiang Province, and severe patients were effectively treated, which played a key role in defeating SARS in Zhejiang. She led the research team to successfully isolate SARS virus and complete the whole gene sequencing, which is the second strain registered in Genbank; In China; The replication of SARS coronavirus was found in PBMC for the first time, which is of great significance to reveal the pathogenesis of SARS.
