This paper puts forward three questions: 1. Why do you want to write your graduation thesis? Second, how to write a graduation thesis, what preparations should be made before writing, how to choose a topic, how to collect information, how to analyze research, how to express research results, and what procedures and requirements are there for writing a thesis. Three, what are the procedures for defense, how to prepare the defense, and what problems need to be paid attention to. Graduates can only complete a graduation thesis by defending their thesis.

When it comes to writing graduation thesis, some students feel that there is no way to start, which leads to fear of difficulties; Some generally know, but are not familiar with some of them; Some temporarily find some materials to copy, piece together and process. In view of the fact that students (including undergraduates, correspondence students and self-taught candidates) don't understand the procedures and methods of writing, based on long-term teaching practice, I will talk about three basic problems:

The first question is about the significance and purpose of completing a graduation thesis. Correct thinking, retreat first, and then be pragmatic. We must study and write under the guidance of correct ideas and follow the basic laws of scientific research and writing. The second question is about the three stages of completing a graduation thesis: first, self-preparation, second, guiding activities, and third, thesis defense. This is the core problem of completing a graduation thesis. The third question is how to pass the thesis defense.

First, why do you want to write your graduation thesis?

Why write a graduation thesis? What is its purpose and significance? To sum up, there are three points:

(A) the necessary learning stage of undergraduate education

Graduation thesis writing is an important practical teaching stage in the whole undergraduate education. If you don't write your graduation thesis, you won't get a college diploma. For adult education, graduation thesis is an important course of undergraduate education and the last necessary stage of course learning.

(B) Important practical teaching links

Writing graduation thesis is a comprehensive application of relevant knowledge and skills and a practical test of undergraduate study. On the whole, it reflects the learning quality of undergraduate course more truly, is a comprehensive evaluation of students' overall professional quality, and reflects college students' innovative ability and professional level. Compared with the study of various courses, the graduation thesis is more difficult. Learning courses and writing graduation thesis should be said to be the relationship between inheritance and creation. It is a creative activity and an important practical teaching link in the whole teaching process to determine the topic, conduct investigation, collect and sort out information, study the topic, analyze and summarize it, and finally express it in the form of a paper.

(C) to enable students to get basic training in scientific research

Writing graduation thesis belongs to the category of academic research, which is the study of theoretical problems and their practical significance, and the training of creative thinking. The purpose of writing graduation thesis is to cultivate students' ability to comprehensively apply what they have learned, analyze and solve problems independently, so that students can get basic training in scientific research. Learning the whole process of academic thesis writing is also a preliminary study on how to do research work, laying the foundation for further study and work in the future.

The content of this paper can also be used for reference by students who usually study and write professional papers, but have no thesis defense stage. For example, I mainly focus on language professional papers, which is related to my being a Chinese teacher. No matter what examples are used, the steps, principles and requirements for writing graduation thesis are the same.

Second, the three stages of completing graduation thesis

There are three stages in completing a graduation thesis: self-preparation, guiding activities and thesis defense. Together, these three stages are the whole process of completing a graduation thesis.
