Beijing Institute of Printing vigorously promotes scientific research and implements scientific and technological innovation-driven projects. In the past five years, he has presided over national and provincial scientific research projects 169, commissioned 284 projects, and conducted 457 horizontal scientific research projects, with a total scientific research fund of more than 300 million yuan, published more than 200 retrieval papers 1200, published more than 500 books and teaching materials, and obtained more than 600 authorized patents.

The school strengthened the combination of Industry-University-Research and established a scientific research platform covering the printing and publishing industry chain. Focusing on the school-running characteristics of "creative design, art and industry integration", a dual-innovation development model of "one hospital and three parks" is formed. Relying on the transformation platform of scientific research achievements of Beijing Institute of Green Printing and Packaging Industry Technology, the University Science Park, the Cultural and Creative Industry Park and the College Students' Innovation and Pioneer Park support each other and develop harmoniously, creating the double highlights of "North India's scientific and technological innovation" and "North Industry-University-Research's cultural innovation" and building an integrated industrial complex.

Over the past 60 years, the school has trained more than 50,000 graduates, which has been widely recognized by the society. The school is the founder and director of the national publishing and printing advanced talent training base, the national printing and electronic industry technology innovation alliance, the national traditional printing industry technology innovation alliance, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei design industry alliance and other organizations recognized by the former State Press and Publication Administration.
