Since the Opium War, the western powers forced the corrupt Qing government to sign many unequal treaties by force, and seized China's sovereignty and huge wealth through the treaty of nanking, Tientsin, Peking, treaty of shimonoseki and Xin Chou treaties, and controlled China's political, economic, military, diplomatic, financial, cultural, educational and national defense powers, which brought endless disasters to the Chinese nation. The Qing government was feudal and backward. At first, it was blind and arrogant and closed to the outside world. After the invasion of foreign capitalism, it only experienced a brief confrontation. When they realized that foreign invaders didn't want to overthrow the Qing regime, but wanted to trade and plunder wealth, they began to kneel down, betrayed national interests, and put the suppression of the people first, exposing their ugly faces of hostility to the people. After the Second Opium War, the Qing government colluded with imperialism to suppress the Taiping Rebellion. During the Sino-French War, while China achieved great success in Zhennan, the Qing government signed an unequal treaty with the French invaders to betray sovereignty. During the Sino-Japanese Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, the Qing government implemented the line of compromise and surrender, suppressed the people's anti-aggression struggle, and caused the war to fail in an all-round way. Eight-Nation Alliance invaded China, and the Qing Dynasty dignitaries headed by Cixi fled to xi 'an. After the war, Cixi announced that she would "measure China's material resources and win the favor of the country", which fully exposed her ugly face as a slave with no sense of shame. After the Revolution of 1911, with the support of different imperialists, Beiyang warlords scuffled, and the governments of Beiyang warlords alternated like lanterns, and the people were miserable. It can be seen that the root of China's semi-colonial and semi-feudal society is corruption, incompetence, weakness and isolation.
