Since its publication, Building Mechanization has highlighted the combination of building and machinery, vigorously promoted the development and technical progress of building mechanization, and opened up many columns such as mechanized construction, building machinery, use and maintenance, scientific management, principles and policies, voice of users, innovation and transformation, test and detection, and dynamic information. There are not only theoretical discussions, but also experience summaries of specific engineering practices, including mechanical design and manufacturing, maintenance and repair of engineering machinery pipelines, demonstration of special construction technologies and discussion of high and new technologies, as well as domestic experience and foreign information. Two articles, Accelerating the Development of Building Mechanization (Phase I 1980) and Building Mechanization Serving the Transformation and Development of Construction Industry (Phase III 198 1), discussed the definition and implementation measures of building mechanization at the beginning of publication, and clarified the concept of building mechanization. "Building Mechanization" is also an external window of the organizer's Institute of Building Mechanization (branch). Over the years, it has timely reported the latest scientific research achievements and new products developed by the branch, and published research papers of scientific and technical personnel of the branch for many times, which has expanded the visibility and influence of the branch in society and industry. The fourth issue of 1986 and the fifth issue of 1996 were edited and published to celebrate the 30th and 40th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of Building Mechanization respectively.

These measures fully reflect the characteristics of users' committee publications.
From the statistics of articles published in Table 1 Building Mechanization over the years, it can be seen that articles on mechanized construction and applied technology have always accounted for a large proportion, reaching more than 16%, articles on management and maintenance of equipment foundation users accounted for about 20.6%, and articles on quality management reflecting the quality of construction machinery products accounted for about 10%, which recommended high quality to users. In addition, product design research and summary discussion are also the key columns of this magazine, with the number of articles accounting for 23.6% and 6.4% respectively, which shows that construction machinery manufacturers attach importance to this magazine.

Open the first few issues of Building Mechanization magazine, and you may inevitably feel some "cultural relics". Then browse the first and second issues of magazines over the years in turn. In addition to lamenting the progress of the times and the development of the industry, it is not difficult to see the great efforts and painstaking efforts of the organizers and editors.
It is difficult for magazines nowadays to find the shadow of the past from the appearance of packaging and printing. When "Building Mechanization" first came out, it was printed with ordinary newsprint except for the cover and back cover which were offset printed in two colors. That's a brochure of 16K. 1985, the cover is printed in color on coated paper. Since then, the magazine has been constantly updated, the printing quality has been continuously improved, and the editing and publishing work has gradually moved towards standardization and standardization. Starting from the sixth issue 1992, the magazine has been completely revised and expanded since 1999. After entering the new century, the packaging and printing of magazines are more exquisite. In order to expand the channels of academic communication, the magazine editing and publishing process pays full attention to the development of network informatization. 1983 "Building Mechanization" was listed as the national statistical source journal of scientific papers by the Institute of Science and Technology Information of the State Science and Technology Commission, and was listed as the national core journal of building science by the Peking University Journal Work Research Association in the same year; 1999 has been officially incorporated into the China academic journal retrieval and evaluation database (CD-ROM version), which is convenient for providing services to the society and industry through CNKI HowNet Management Service Center; In 2000, he formally joined China Information Digital Periodical Group. Therefore, according to the Data Standard for Retrieval and Evaluation of China Academic Journals (CD-ROM Edition), since the fourth issue of 2000, the names, labels, structures and formats of important retrieval data items and statistical evaluation data items in the library have been standardized, which has provided an important guarantee for the retrieval and evaluation of this journal in the national large-scale comprehensive database. In 2002, the website of Building Mechanization magazine was officially opened, which expanded the publicity and communication channels of the magazine.
Advertising business is the main economic source of Building Mechanization magazine. After 1984 institute started the reform of scientific research system, the editorial department implemented economic contract, and it was fully contracted to 1990, and the magazine's running expenses have been completely solved by itself. Since then, the number of advertisements has doubled and the turnover has been greatly improved. In 2002, the number of advertisements published increased from 63 in 1992 (color 34, black and white 29) to 372 in 2002 (color 266, black and white 106), and the advertising turnover also increased nearly tenfold, realizing the continuous improvement of economic and social benefits. 1996 was awarded the title of "Hebei Advertising Association"
