At present, domestic scientific research achievements and talent evaluation pay too much attention to the influence factors of SCI, and the recognition of domestic excellent scientific journals is not high, which leads to the publication of outstanding scientific papers in foreign journals. China's scientific research achievements are reviewed by foreign editors for free, and the innovative achievements are first published in foreign journals.

Some experts pointed out that Tsinghua University's move is conducive to getting rid of the chronic disease of "focusing only on papers". First of all, this concept is positive at the value level, and then we will discuss the technical route. There is still a lot of room for discussion on how to find practical ways to ensure the training level is not reduced and strictly control the quality of papers and graduation. After there is no restriction on publishing papers, corresponding supporting measures should be formulated to standardize them.
