Recommend several works by Tong, a famous domestic archaeologist and science fiction writer, such as The Magic Flute on the Snow Mountain, Fog in the Ancient Gorge, new journey to the west, Behind the Lead Curtain of Time, Dead Light on Coral Island and Guests Fifty Thousand Years ago.

For your convenience, as a disciple of the younger generation, I would like to briefly introduce Mr. Tong's life:

Tong (1935- 1997), male, Han nationality, from Ningxiang, Hunan. Archaeologist, science fiction writer. Archaeology major. He was a professor at Emei Film Studio of Sichuan University and University of Pittsburgh. Standing Committee of Sichuan CPPCC, Chairman of China Science and Literature Committee. /kloc-published his first work in 0/957, and began to create science fiction and popular science in 0/960. His work "Dead Light on Coral Island" was appraised as the representative work of China's science fiction emphasizing literary genre. It won many awards, and was made into a film in the early1980s, becoming the first science fiction film in China.

[Edit this paragraph] Life

1935 On August 27th, historian and science fiction writer Tong was born in Ningxiang, Hunan. After the child was born, the first thing he remembered was running away. He sat in one basket and his sister in another. He was chosen to follow his mother. He was exiled to Anhua, Xupu, Yuanling, Chenxi and other places in western Hunan. The crystal clear Yuanjiang River, the green hills on both sides of the river that often appear in misty rain, the strange customs of the ancient Miao nationality, and the witchcraft ceremony held in the wilderness at midnight under the torch all made the seven-year-old child feel curious and confused. War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression ended, and the Tong family returned to Changsha, which was destroyed by the fire. My father teaches at Hunan University, while Tong entered Chengzhi Primary School. 1947, Tong was admitted to Changsha Yali Middle School, class 46. Tong was a very naughty boy when he was studying in Yali Middle School. He used to pretend to be scary, climbed onto the shoulder of his little friend Yang Chuande, covered with white sheets, and appeared on campus at night, scaring his classmates to scream. He likes to play with slingshots. Next door to Yali Middle School is the official residence of the chairman of the Kuomintang in Hunan Province. When the governor decorated lanterns and gave a banquet to entertain guests, Tong and his friends were bombarded by bullets, windows were smashed and the official residence was in chaos for a while. Although children have many deviant behaviors when they are in junior high school in Yali Middle School, they also have many outstanding performances. He wants to be self-reliant and save the country by industry. He and his friends set up a company with "only the best". Westinghouse Electric is a famous American company. Tong took the homonym of this company, "Only the best"-only my things are the best! Every night, friends cover themselves with quilts and listen to children telling stories. These stories are all improvised by him, with no head or tail. "Where it is dark, rest there." However, these stories often fascinate friends. Speaking of the wonderful part, Tong stopped and forced his friends to beg. This kind of oral literature, which has no royalty and copyright, has enabled Tong to exercise his eloquence and cultivate his creative ability, which may be the beginning of his hunting literature. From 65438 to 0956, Tong's father was transferred to Chengdu Institute of Telecommunication Engineering, and his family moved to Chengdu. Tong was admitted to the history department of Sichuan University. From 65438 to 0957, while studying in the history department of Sichuan University, Tong began to publish literary works and popular science works. 65438-0957 published his first novel My First Teacher in the 7th issue of the Red Scarf. 1959 wrote his first science fiction novel: guests 50,000 years ago, which was published in the third issue of Youth Literature and Art of 1960. /kloc-0 In the summer of 959, Tong followed Professor Feng, a famous archaeologist of Sichuan University, to inspect the Neolithic site in Xunjinggou, Zhongxian County, Sichuan Province. Then, he and two other students from Sichuan University who are interested in archaeology voluntarily gave up their summer vacation and went to Wushan Daxi to participate in the excavation of another Neolithic tomb. The scenery here is spectacular and magical: "The mighty Yangtze River is bound into a narrow torrent by the mountains standing on both sides of the river. Red rocks stand upright by the river, towering into the sky. Sunlight can only enter this dark canyon at noon. The river surges against the ferocious reef, stirring up rolling waves and rolling up a huge whirlpool. The waterfall poured down from the high mountain and made a terrible roar in the empty mountain. Under the steep mountain, the rushing river shocks and excites people here with its roughness and grandeur. " The more shocking and exciting time is night. At eight or nine o'clock in the evening, when a full moon rose slowly behind the dark mountain in the gloomy canyon to illuminate the roaring river, Tong Zhengen felt the solemnity of the ancient gorge and had a primitive awe of nature. It is this primitive awe of the mysterious and horrible atmosphere of nature, coupled with his love for archaeology and adventure life, that enabled him to write Fog in the Ancient Gorge within one week after returning to Chengdu. Shanghai Children's Publishing House publishes the works of young college students 1960. As soon as this work was published, it was welcomed by young readers. The publication of Fog Out of the Ancient Gorge almost changed Tong's fate and made him embark on the road of professional literary workers. 196 1 year, graduated from Tongtong University. That year, the famous film actor Feng Zhe was transferred from Shanghai to Emei Film Studio. After he saw the fog in the ancient gorge, he went to Sichuan University to find a child. A famous actor came to an ordinary young student, which deeply touched the child. During the conversation, Feng Zhe praised the children's imagination and ability to fabricate plots, which is the essential quality of a screenwriter. He suggested that Tong Zheng En be the screenwriter. Later, Feng Zhe introduced Tong to Zhu Dannan, the director of Emei Film Studio. Zhu Dannan admires this young writer very much. After graduating from Tong University, he decided to work as a screenwriter in E Film Factory. After he went to work in E Film Factory, he began to adapt the script of Fog in the Ancient Gorge. Before the adaptation was completed, Sichuan University sent him back to school as a research assistant of Professor Feng. From then on, he began to roam freely in the fields of archaeology and literature, and lived the life of an "amphibious man" in two fields of work. Fog from the Ancient Gorge is a turning point in the history of China's science fiction. Although China's science fiction has its origins since the late Qing Dynasty, there were successors in the Republic of China. However, it was not until the founding of New China that it really became a climate. At that time, a large number of talents were urgently needed for scientific and technological construction, and the slogan of "marching into science" was put forward. To cultivate scientific and technological talents, we need to start with children, so a kind of sci-fi works with the characteristics of China at that time came into being. Different from other countries, China's science fiction is rooted in the garden of "popular science" and "children's literature" from the beginning. So in the early fifties and sixties, most sci-fi works were inseparable from this theme. It is not so much science fiction as children's science fiction stories or illustrated scientific knowledge. This arrangement is based on a special period and is understandable. However, after all, I am far from the literary road and don't understand the essence of science fiction. In the final analysis, it is a novel, not just a science. It can not only be used as a story carrier to preach scientific knowledge, but also simply become synonymous with "popular science". The fog in the ancient gorge appears in the form of novels, full of literariness and emotion. It shows the charm of novels and science fiction in the aspects of theme conception, plot arrangement, characterization and artistic conception creation, and attracts many readers. The appearance of this novel, like a stone breaking the sky, gives people a sense of shock and enlightenment, and opens a new chapter for China's science fiction. During the Cultural Revolution, Tong was forced to write for ten years and suffered the same fate as the intellectuals in China. His friends left this world one after another, and Feng Zhe was brutally tortured, humiliated and beaten. Finally, he defended the dignity of an artist with his death. His childhood friend, Li Mingzhi, who co-founded "Only the Best" company with him, was persecuted while working in Dalian from 65438 to 0967 and was buried in the sea ... During the ten-year catastrophe, Tong was criticized for writing "Fog in the Ancient Gorge". The reason for criticism is absurd. Lenovo's propaganda team actually said that Qin Jun in the fog of the ancient gorge was the People's Liberation Army and Prince Ba was Jiang Jingguo. There are good reasons: Chiang Kai-shek fled from Chongqing to Taiwan Province Province, and the Pakistani prince also fled from Chongqing to Jindong. Conclusion: The mist in the ancient gorge evokes the soul of Chiang Kai-shek. As a result, the characters in the fog of the ancient gorge were described. In the process of tracing, people made amazing discoveries. It turns out that one of the protagonists, teaching assistant Rola Chen; He was the chairman of the Kuomintang Fujian Province in the 1930s. The transferred personnel went to Changsha, Hunan Province, Tong's hometown, to see what connection the Tong family had with the Kuomintang generals. Ironically, when Chen Yi became the chairman of Fujian Province, Tong was not yet born. Moreover, Fujian and Hunan are thousands of miles apart, and this connection cannot be established. The more important discovery of the workers' propaganda team is that Professor Yang Chuande, the hero of Fog in the Ancient Gorge, is actually a real person and a childhood friend of children. In fact, Tong Zhengen was joking with his name on purpose. After graduating from the Physics Department of Peking University, Yang Chuande was assigned to work in the former Energy Institute. Now the evidence is conclusive: Tong colluded with Yang Chuande and leaked state secrets! Tong and Yang Chuande were frightened. However, they are still grateful to the propaganda team. Without these people, they, a pair of friends in need who have lost news for many years, may never be able to re-establish contact for a lifetime. In this atmosphere, Tong could not continue writing until the Gang of Four was crushed. Starting from 1977, people in the literary and art circles who completely broke off relations with him quickly extended a hand of friendship to him. Shanghai Children's Publishing House, China Children's Publishing House, People's Literature Publishing House ... Some want to reprint his past works, while others want him to write some new works. 1963 Ji Shen, who worked with him to adapt the film literary script Fog of the Ancient Gorge, just resumed his work at the Shanghai Film Studio and immediately wrote to encourage him to continue his film literary creation. 1May, 978, went to Shanghai to attend the national symposium on popular science creation, and met with popular science writers he admired, such as Zheng, Ye Yonglie, Xiao Jianheng, Liu Houyi, Zhou Guoxing, etc. When they met again after the robbery, he and the writers were very excited to see that * * * had contributed to the prosperity of China's scientific and literary creation. Tong picked up the pen again and devoted himself to creation with a stronger sense of responsibility than before. After finishing his teaching and scientific research, he rewrote Fog in the Ancient Gorge and Dead Light on Coral Island, which were adapted into screenplays with the help of Ji Shen. He also wrote science fiction novels, such as The Magic Flute in Snow Mountain, The Man Who Tracked the Dinosaur, The Return of the Astronaut and Hui Hui's Little Companion. Children's science fiction novel Die on an Island in a Mountain and Lake, written in 1963, was published in 1978, which caused a sensation in the whole country and won the first National Excellent Short Story Award, and immediately filmed the first science fiction film in China, which was applauded by orthodox literature and even the whole society, warmly embraced and accepted with open arms. It is this work that has been appraised by senior sci-fi critics as the representative work of China's sci-fi emphasizing literary genre. Later, the novel was also adapted into a comic book and a radio play, which had a wide influence in society. Although, Tong Zhengen doesn't think highly of his novels. He believes that the main reason why this work is welcomed by the society is that the literary and art circles are blank after ten years of catastrophe. His interesting works just meet the people's needs to fill the spiritual gap, just like a person eating a bowl of tea when he is extremely hungry and making rice fragrant. But he was greatly encouraged and determined to create high-level works to repay those who loved him. An old leader who values children very much seriously said to him, "I know that you are brilliant, and you can write novels and make movies." It's not that we don't support you to write this. The more you can contribute to the people, the happier we will be. However, a person's energy is limited, and the country trains you to become a leader in the academic world, not … "Some teachers and friends in the history circle also agree with this old leader. In fact, Tong believes that learning and creating popular science works are not only not contradictory, but also can promote each other, and one plus one is greater than two. Many friends in the history circle think that Tong is an eccentric. He often comes out from unexpected directions, uses some new research methods and writes papers with original opinions. This is precisely because he often reads scientific materials to write scientific literary works. During the ten-year catastrophe, Tong read a message about an American professor's experiment of joining pieces of Oracle Bone Inscriptions with a computer. Tong Zhengen had a brainwave and felt that the other party's method could be improved. The reason for this experiment is this: To identify Oracle Bone Inscriptions, we must first combine the broken Oracle Bone Inscriptions as much as possible. This is because the Oracle bones are carved on the navel of the tortoise. The shell of the tortoise's abdomen consists of pill-shaped bone plates, which are connected together by glue. Turtles are buried in the ground. Over time, the colloid is broken and the bone plate is broken. When excavated, it will become a pile of unrecognizable fragments. In the past, archaeologists often relied on experience and memory to piece together broken tortoise shells. Suppose we use some laws pieced together by Oracle Bone Inscriptions to make a program, make it into software, and input it into a computer, and the conjugation speed will be much faster. So Tong invited two friends who are engaged in computers, compiled a tortoise shell assembling program and entered it into the computer. The preliminary results are successful: the success rate of computer assembling tortoise shells is about 40%, which exceeds that of American professors. After the paper was published, it attracted the attention of professors across the ocean. So he invited Tong to visit the United States as soon as possible and learn from each other. This is the origin of 1980 children's visit to the United States. Attention to physiology has also made children make new discoveries. In his famous archaeological paper "On Early Steel Drum", Tong not only demonstrated that the early bronze drum originated from an agricultural nation of Puliao in the eastern Yunnan Plateau, but also denied the theory that the bronze drum originated from Vietnam, and made a scientific explanation of the mysterious function of the bronze drum. Because the rhythmic sound of the bronze drum has a mysterious stimulating effect, people in the areas where the bronze drum is popular have a worship psychology, and the bronze drum has become a symbol of authority, which is used in sacrifices and wars to shock and call on the masses. This is not superstition, because anthropologists have found that rhythmic drums with a certain frequency can cause abnormal emotions and behaviors of people attending festivals, such as narcissism, hallucinations, abnormal body distortion and even convulsions. Anthropologists have not yet answered why this drum sound causes abnormal feelings and movements. Tong noticed the research results of physiologists and answered this question. Facts have proved that physical reality has proved that rhythmic sound can stimulate the sensory center and motor center of the cerebral cortex. The average frequency of people's basic brain waves is eight to thirteen cycles per second, so when the drum frequency is 7 to 9 beats per second, people will obviously show abnormal movements. So the mysterious stimulation of drums is because the frequency of drums is consistent with the average frequency of human brain waves. He dabbled in other scientific knowledge, observed and wrote in the society for a long time, and helped an archaeologist achieve something in his career. This is not an example or two in children's academic activities. Similarly, an archaeologist's rich practical activities help a popular science writer, which is not uncommon in children's amphibious life. For more than 20 years, Tong, like Xu Xiake whom he admired since childhood, has traveled all over the country. North and south of the great river, north and south of the great river, all left his footprints of seeking seclusion and visiting the ancient times. He crossed the most majestic Hengduan Mountains in southwest China twice, passing through the Dadu River, Yalong River, Jinsha River, Lancang River and Nujiang River, and reached the Yarlung Zangbo River. Snow peaks and deep valleys are full of the charm of nature. The magnificence of the motherland's mountains and rivers and the glory of history make him deeply proud that he is a descendant of the Chinese nation. In the archaeological investigation and excavation, he had the opportunity to naturally contact with the masses, not to "experience" life, but to "participate" life. He has squatted by the fireplace countless times, drinking highland barley wine with his Tibetan compatriots, drinking our wine with his Qiang compatriots, and drinking corn wine with his Yi compatriots, and listening to them sing the myth of epoch-making, ancient legends, appalling sufferings in the old society, new oppression and hardships of life in the era of the Gang of Four. At this time, children felt their inner joys and sorrows, and realized their simple and sincere feelings. All these constitute an inexhaustible source of his creation. Amphibians, for children, every habitat is not a minus sign, but a plus sign. Over the past 20 years, Tong has published more than 30 archaeological papers, 4 of which won the first prize in Sichuan Social Science. Tong also wrote a local history: Ancient Bashu. This book has become one of the four works of faculty and staff of Guochuan University in the Library of Congress. At the same time, Tong has made outstanding achievements in scientific and literary creation. Because of his achievements, he became one of the representative writers of China's science literature, known as one of the "four donkey kong" of China's science fiction, and served as the chairman of the Science Literature Committee of China Popular Science Creation Association, the vice chairman of Sichuan Popular Science Writers Association, and the chairman of Chengdu Popular Science Writers Association. 199 1 year, due to well-known reasons, Tong went to the United States to give lectures and then moved to the United States. During his stay in the United States, he served as a professor in many universities and became one of the famous professors in the United States, with outstanding academic achievements and rich writings. During this period, Tong returned to China many times to care about the scientific research and popular science creation of the motherland. Every time he returns to China, he will get together with Sichuan popular science writers, talking and laughing, which will make the participants never forget. He returned to China for the last time when he was alive, and spent two days with his brother En Wen and the author, and had a good talk. He said that he was trying to create detective science fiction, and he bought all kinds of weapons to experience the gunfight himself. Who knows, this has become forever. In April this year, Tong was hospitalized in the United States because of liver disease, and died suddenly because of the failure of liver replacement surgery.
