Reality is the true face of everything in the universe. Everything you see in your life is real, such as spring, summer, autumn and winter, day and night. Our bodies also belong to the category of reality: we eat when we are hungry and sleep when we are sleepy, so as to maintain the normal operation of this precision instrument.
However, in addition to what human beings are, there is also the consideration of "what should be", that is, "what should be". For human beings, if we only look at reality, it is nothing more than natural selection, and the law of the jungle is no different from other animals.
The first sentence of The Doctrine of the Mean gives the answer. It went on to say that "the way of nature is called, and the way of teaching is called", and it is the right way to follow nature; Cultivating yourself on the right path is education. It can be seen that human nature is not a "reality" of hungry eating, sleepy sleeping, laughing happily and crying painfully, but a "necessity" that needs constant pursuit, excavation, learning and shaping. This is why Confucianism attaches great importance to self-cultivation rather than bondage, only when it can be collected. Only by constantly polishing your words and deeds can you be your own master, know your own destiny and obey it.
Mencius said: "Benevolence and faithfulness, tireless kindness, this is the heavenly king;" Or doctor, this man is also a knight. "Being kind to human nature is the greatest honor given to mankind by God. This is heaven, everyone has it, but it needs to be discovered and forged; Titles such as doctor and official are the embodiment of the relative value of the world, which will vary with the times and opportunities. Even if not, it doesn't matter. True Confucianism is so open-minded and clear-cut, how can it be pedantic to suppress human nature?
