Translation studies is a discipline that studies the laws and art of translation. Its main tasks are: to study the history, theories and schools of Chinese and foreign translation; Explore the nature, function, standards, principles and methods of translation; Describe the actual translation process and explain the characteristics and different requirements of various types of translation; Explore the scientific and artistic nature of language conversion; Determine the quality, talents and ways to cultivate and improve translators and predict the development direction of translation.
