Life is short, only virtue can spread it to distant generations.
-Shakespeare
A long time ago, there was a philosopher. He was knowledgeable and full of wisdom, but he seldom helped others, and he didn't like to help others when they were in trouble, so few people in the village interacted with him. By chance, he came to the temple to stay temporarily, and the owner of the temple warmly welcomed him. Philosophers found leisure in the temple, pacing up and down the yard all day, reading scriptures. Later, the philosopher asked for leave and wanted to study abroad. When he left, he found a note left by his master in his luggage, which read: You are very proficient, which is true, but you didn't help me clean the temple like other pilgrims. The philosopher was ashamed after reading it. Since then, he has done good deeds and helped others everywhere, and gradually became a noble and respected person.
Today, like previous philosophers, we only attach importance to knowledge and ignore morality. In our eyes, lack of knowledge is ignorance; But lack of moral cultivation is vulgarity. Perhaps knowledge is our mind, and appearance and morality are our limbs. We use morality to deal with the world, with the belief of "don't do it with small evils, don't do it with small goodness", treat people with a kind and tolerant attitude, arm our minds with knowledge, learn with the belief of "learning mountains and learning the sea endlessly" and understand with a proficient spirit. As we all know, morality fills the defects of wisdom, but wisdom can never fill the defects of morality. Only when morality and wisdom are intertwined around us can we be more cultured and let morality evaporate incisively and vividly.
Time flies. From the distant Confucius to today's model workers, from the ancient Tao Te Ching to the present moral education, times are changing, but morality has never changed. It binds us and becomes the first rule of life. Benevolence, righteousness, filial piety and loyalty are still the "perfection" that people pursue. Morally, abandon things that harm others and benefit themselves. Morally, we despise unfaithful and unjust people. Moral people cherish their reputation and win the favor of society with noble actions; A moral person, since he demands society, must repay society; A moral person only needs to live peacefully and correctly, instead of vulgar expression of his meanness.
To be a moral person, you must have wisdom, let morality glow with the brilliance of human nature and deduce a perfect life!
